Julie Madison has been passionately in love with working with dogs since the time she was very young. Julie’s first dog was a rescue German Shepherd/pit mix named Ralph with intense leash reactivity to other dogs. After adopting Ralph and keeping him, the animal shelter she adopted him from allowed her to work with dogs at the age of 15. During her 3 years of volunteering at that shelter she put in over 300 hours rehabilitating, training, and socializing a variety of dogs. Her experience has only grown since then and she has experience with training dogs and working with a variety of needs from housebreaking, intense leash reactivity, resource guarding, basic and advanced obedience. She is certified Pet Trainer and Foundation Dog ® Trainer and is a firm believer in working the dog in front of her. In her spare time she is the secretary of Forgotten Coast K9, raising funding for veterans who need service dogs.
Her services include the Top Tier K9 4 week Board and Train Programs, as well as follow up private or extended Board and Trains depending on the dogs needs. The Board and Train will address issues including but not limited to:

This review has been the hardest to write—not because I lacked things to say, but because I wanted to make sure I truly captured how much Julie has done for us without sounding overly emotional! Julie has been an absolute godsend to our family. She took an unruly, biting puppy—who we were almost forced to rehome—and transformed him into a much calmer, easier-to-handle family dog. I only wish we had found her sooner, as she would have saved us so much gray hair! As someone completely new to dog training, her method was different from what I expected (and she was the third trainer I interviewed!), but it worked wonders for us. Her continuous support, care, and ongoing work with Robby have meant the world to us. Plus, having her board him when we’re away gives me complete peace of mind. I highly, highly recommend Julie. I’ve been through three other trainers, I was starting to feel discouraged. My dog is incredibly sweet, but she was stubborn on walks and would pull me around constantly. I could not get her to listen, and it felt like she was walking me instead of the other way around. Julie has been a complete game-changer. She is the first trainer who has helped me actually feel confident walking my dog. I can finally take her out without being dragged around, and I can tell my dog is listening and understands what is expected of her.
