Springtime is officially here and there are a TON of ways to enjoy the gorgeous weather in Bradenton! This month, you’ll find lots of outdoor events, live music, and more. Here are 25 of the best things to do in Bradenton this March.

1. Sunday Soul Sessions

Sunday, March 1st from 4 pm until 7 pm

Head down to the Village of the Arts for this month’s Sunday Soul Sessions. David Julia will be performing blues, rock, R&B, funk, and more!

Sunday Soul Sessions are held on the first Sunday of every month through June. Seating is limited to approximately 80 tickets, so you’ll want to grab them right away. You can buy them here.

2. An Evening with International Guitar Sensation Richard Smith

Join The Dude & Mary’s Art of Life and Music in the Village of the Arts for a special evening with Richard Smith. Straight from Nashville, Richard is a finger-picking virtuoso known for his complex arrangements of classical and contemporary music.

As music legend Chet Atkins says “The most amazing guy I know on the guitar. He can play anything I know, only better.”

Suggested donation $15 – Light refreshments but BYOB if you’d like something a little harder. Meet and greet 6 – 7 music 7 – 9.

3. Hurricane Preparedness Expo

Thursday, March 5th from 3 pm until 8 pm

Make sure you’re ready for this year’s hurricane season by heading over to the first annual Hurricane Preparedness Expo! This fun and free event is the perfect place for the whole family to learn exactly how to prepare.

There will also be vendors, food tasting, an emergency vehicle showcase, door prizes, and giveaways. Guest speakers include FPL, Boyd Insurance, Spectrum Bay News 9, and The National Weather Service.

5. Sidewalk Science

Friday, March 6th from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm (And every Friday and Saturday)

Each Friday and Saturday evening, come out to the Bradenton Riverwalk to enjoy hands-on science experiments during the weekly Sidewalk Science Center. This is perfect for kids, teens, and adults.

As long as skies are clear, their large 8-inch telescope will also be available for you to catch views of Venus and some star clusters. These events are free and they do accept donations.

6. Loaded Cannon’s Grand Opening & Spirit Release Party

Friday, March 6th from 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, March 7th from 12 pm to 8 pm

You definitely won’t want to miss Loaded Cannon Distillery’s Grand Opening and Spirit Release Party! During this two-day event, you’ll enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, ax-throwing, a rock climbing wall and more. There will also be free samples of their new spirits, raffles, and giveaways.

7. ArtSlam

Saturday, March 7th from 9 am until 4 pm
Downtown Bradenton (Old Main St.)

Join Realize Bradenton for their annual ArtSlam event showcasing our creative community. Watch as artists take their work out of the studios, theaters, and classrooms and onto the streets of downtown Bradenton. Artists, students, and performers will engage the public while creating unique works of temporary public art. This event is FREE to the public!

8. Paws in Motion Walk-a-Thon

Saturday, March 7th Starting at 8 am
Caddys: 801 Riverside Drive E. Bradenton, FL

Grab your furry friend and come on out to the Paws in Motion Walk-a-Thon benefitting the Humane Society of Manatee County. This is both a fundraiser and a vendor festival, all to support shelter pets.

The one-mile walk starts at 9 am. After, there will be great music, delicious food, and shopping at the Vendor Village. Participants will also receive amazing goodie bags and have a chance to win fun prizes.

9. Bradenton Chic Decor & Artisan Market

Shop your way through hundreds of unique artisans local to Manatee and Sarasota County. Choose from multiple decor styles such as seasonal Spring decor, nautical, coastal chic, Florida-chic, shabby chic, vintage, and antiques to style your home.

Or find something for yourself from one of the many unique artisans that sell hand-poured candles, upcycled art, flowers/plants, garden art, essential oils, and more. 10. Hip Hop Yoga

Friday, March 13th from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm

This isn’t your typical yoga class! If you’re ready for a FUN workout, this playful hip-hop spin on the classic Vinyasa flow will get your booty workin!

Get ready to down-dog to the sounds of Snoop D-O-double-G and maybe even join in on an impromptu dance party! This is a donation-based class with 50% of the proceeds benefitting their Parkinson’s Yoga Class. Get your tickets here!

11. GYPSY BLUE REVUE w/J.P Soars, Jason Ricci & Anne Harris

Don’t miss this huge Friday the 13th party at Birdrock Taco Shack in the Village of the Arts.

13. Taste of Mixons

Saturday, March 14th from 11 am until 3 pm
Mixons Fruit Farm: 2525 27th St E, Bradenton, FL 34208

The Taste of Mixons is a fun event that is held twice a year on the farm. Guests are given passports as they enter the store, which are stamped at different stations around the store when you sample/taste a variety of their food products. 

Samples may include cookies, cheese, kettle korn, wine, fudge, ice cream, and more.  Completed passports are placed into a drawing box for a chance to win prizes. The drawing will be held at 3 pm.  Southeast High Orchestra will also be on-site entertaining during this free event.

14. CANCELED – Main Street Live St. Patrick’s Day Party

Saturday, March 14th from 5 pm until midnight
Downtown Bradenton (Old Main St.)

This promises to be one of the best Main Street Live block parties yet! This month’s party features Ajeva (ah-JAY-vuh,) a Progressive Funk, six-piece powerhouse hailing from St. Petersburg, FL. and The Reality, a Funk/Jamtronic/Rock band from Tampa.

As always, there will also be food trucks, vendors, and more!

15. CANCELED – Bradenton Street Fair

Come downtown to celebrate Bradenton’s FIRST Plant-Based festival. Enjoy 40+ Plant-Based vendors, live music, a kids corner, free yoga and more!

This is a FREE, family-friendly event.

16. CANCELED – 7th Annual Manatee Pride Festival

Saturday, March 21st from 12 pm until 5 pm
Manatee Riverwalk: 3rd Ave. W. Bradenton

Come out for a day of fun, food, music, and community that’s perfect for the whole family. There will be live bands, drag queens, food, cold beer, health checks, and more than 50 local vendors.

Manatee Pride is a fundraiser for Prism Youth Initiative, Manatee County’s only program that provides services to LGBT and questioning youth.

17. Relay Rally

Saturday, March 21st at 6 pm

Join the American Cancer Society for their last Relay Rally of 2020 at Motorworks Brewing out in the beer garden.

There will be a ton of fun, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and more. This is the organization’s final event before the Relay for Life on April 4th.

18. Flow Into Spring
