One of our favorite events is returning this year! The city of Palmetto happily welcomes back the 4^th of July Celebration in honor of America’s birthday. This event will bring back all the fun and amazing moments we missed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festivities will be held at Sutton Park, located at 1036 Sixth St. W. in Palmetto. Gracing the event will be award-winning country music and soul singer, Wynonna Judd, together with her band, The Big Noise. An incredible fireworks show will also light up the Manatee River.

A FREE Family-Friendly Event

This 4^th of July Celebration is a family-friendly event, and kids of all ages are sure to enjoy the live music and fireworks display. The festival and the concert will be free with no seating reservations., so it’s a great idea to come early to get the best viewing spot. Also, don’t forget your chairs!

You’re allowed to bring a cooler with drinks, but there will be a strict NO ALCOHOL policy. There will also be a few vendors selling food and drinks.

What You Need To Know About the Program

The band His Country, featuring Palmetto Police Department’s own Sgt. Duane Kauffman will open for Judd. A DJ will kick off the music at 5 pm and Judd is expected to take stage around 7:30 pm. They’ll perform a full concert leading up to the fireworks display.

The Green Bridge will be closed an hour before the fireworks show, during the show, and afterward. Spectators are also not allowed on the bridge during the show. This will help with traffic control and also ensure everyone’s safety.

The Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency, together with the cities of Bradenton and Palmetto and Manatee County will be sponsoring the event to help promote the city’s downtown business district, parks, and waterfront.
