PALM LEAVES WITH BRILLIANT COLOR VALUES: A 2 DAY ZOOM WORKSHOP WITH ANNE
I took several dozen photos of these aged leaves surrounding the school where I teach. I then used my photo edit button to get these exciting colors. I love the movement made by the drooping leaves and found this exciting and compelling to paint.
This is an unusual composition, with a long and skinny aspect ratio. I have found affordable frames to fit this shape — they can be purchased at your local chain stores for a very reasonable price. I will share all this info during the class .
Please come to class with the drawing done on your paper and size of choice. I will be working 17×24 on Arches 300lb natural. We will simplify some background areas and will do only minimal masking. You will receive a masking guide prior to class. Please have all your paints and brushes handy. And make a black and white copy of the photo for your values.
After completing the ZOOM Virtual Workshop you will have a full video recording available to you for 60 days.
