1920’s, somewhere in the deep south, . Pineapple owned one of the most profitable Sugar Factories.

In 1925, a law is passed to outlaw Sugar to help reduce the rate of obesity and glutton for overeating. Sugar Speakeasies start to pop up and become very popular. Of course, it comes with a price. Pineapple’s Sugar Factory Speakeasy is one of the most popular in the south. Hidden inside his “temporarily closed” Sugar Factory, . Pineapple creates a decadent spot for sugar overload. But one of his workers ends up dead. Now a detective-for-hire, Penelope McArthur aka Penelope Peach takes on her first official case to find a missing girl as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of her older brother, Frank McArthur – to unravel.
