8th Annual Wellness Expo Returns to Water's Edge of Bradenton

The 8th Annual Wellness Expo takes place October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Water's Edge of Bradenton.

A Day of Learning, Connection, and Community Health

The 8th Annual Wellness Expo is set for Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Water's Edge of Bradenton, located at 2015 32nd Avenue West. This free community event continues to bring together healthcare providers, wellness experts, and local organizations for a day centered on prevention, education, and overall well-being.

Over the years, the Wellness Expo has become a valued gathering for residents, caregivers, and professionals who share a passion for healthier living. Attendees can expect a welcoming atmosphere filled with exhibits, raffles, health screenings, and informative discussions designed to inspire practical lifestyle changes.

Special Presentation with Dr. Jose Erbella

One of the day's highlights will be a presentation by Dr. Jose Erbella, MD, FACS, DipABLM, a board-certified breast cancer surgeon and lifestyle medicine physician known for his patient-centered approach and advocacy for prevention.

Dr. Erbella will share insights from his newly released book, "Advice for the High Risk: 10 Things to Know to Lower Your Risk of Breast Cancer -- A Cancer Surgeon's Guide to Living Your Healthiest, Longest Life." His talk, "Advice for the High Risk," will take place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by an open Q&A. Attendees will have the chance to learn directly from Dr. Erbella about how everyday choices can help reduce cancer risk and improve longevity.

"Dr. Erbella's participation this year makes the Expo especially impactful," said Laurie Baker, Sales Counselor at Water's Edge of Bradenton. "His expertise and his new book provide lifesaving guidance that attendees can take home and apply in their daily lives."

Exhibits, Screenings, and Local Vendors

In addition to Dr. Erbella's session, the 8th Annual Wellness Expo will also feature health and financial exhibitors, including hospitals, physicians, home care agencies, fitness experts, financial advisors, and real estate professionals.

Visitors can also take advantage of on-site 3D mobile mammography screenings provided by 3D Mobile Mammography. Screenings begin at 9:00 AM, and advance appointments are encouraged by calling 844-546-5871.

SunCoast Blood Centers will host a mobile blood drive throughout the day, offering another way for attendees to support the community. Guests can also enjoy food from the 88 Live Food Truck, enter raffle drawings, and explore interactive displays designed to engage people of all ages.

Supporting a Meaningful Cause

While the Wellness Expo provides valuable education and services, it also gives back in a big way. This year's proceeds will benefit Men Wear Pink, an initiative of the American Cancer Society, and Dr. Erbella's Anti-Cancer Boot Camp. Funds raised will help advance breast cancer research, patient support, and education efforts across Manatee County.

The event is presented by Water's Edge of Bradenton, in partnership with Home Helpers Home Care of Bradenton and Southwest Florida Home Care. Organizers say the Expo continues to grow thanks to the strong participation and enthusiasm from local residents and businesses.
