If you've been thinking about signing your child up for swim lessons but haven't taken the plunge yet, this is your sign.
Amanda Girton, owner of Sunshine Swimming, is once again offering the Swim Manatee program this summer: a completely FREE opportunity for beginner swimmers of all ages to learn essential water safety and swimming skills in a welcoming, supportive setting.
What is Swim Manatee?
Swim Manatee is a free learn-to-swim program that welcomes all ages, from infants to adults. It's ideal for anyone with zero swim experience or looking to build a bit more confidence in the water. The program focuses on basic swim techniques and water safety skills that could literally be life-saving. Classes are held from May through July at GT Bray Park.
Each participant gets four free lessons, and class options are available for different age groups and schedules, making it easy to find one that fits your needs. All you need to bring is a swimsuit, a towel, and a willingness to learn.

Water Safety Shouldn't Be a Luxury
Living in Florida, water is everywhere: pools, beaches, lakes, canals. Swim lessons are one of the most important things you can do for a child's safety, and unfortunately, access isn't always equal. Swim Manatee helps remove that barrier by offering no-cost swim instruction to the community.
Amanda, a lifelong swimmer and passionate instructor, says it best: "This is about helping people feel safe in the water. We want everyone, no matter their background or income level, to have access to these skills."
