Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare (FoMCAW) invites the community to its annual Friendsgiving fundraiser on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at the Manatee County Fairgrounds Veterans' Hall. This year's event marks the 9th anniversary of fundraising to support the animals at Manatee County Animal Welfare.
Friendsgiving is a much-anticipated evening where animal lovers and advocates come together for food, entertainment, and community spirit. Guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner prepared by My Pasta Chef, desserts from Heavenly Palate, and live entertainment by Mike Sales. Local celebrity Bob Slicker, owner of Slicker's Eatery, will serve as auctioneer and emcee for the evening.
Auctions, Desserts, and the Wine Lotto
The event features live and silent auctions filled with one-of-a-kind items and experiences. Guests can bid on vacation packages, overnight resort stays, gift certificates, spa services, theme park passes, jewelry, fishing and boating excursions, pet items, and more.
Adding a sweet twist, over 30 desserts from local bakeries, restaurants, and home bakers will be part of the auctions. Attendees can also try their luck in the famous wine lotto, enjoy a cash bar, and take part in special presentations throughout the night.
Tickets and VIP Experience
Tickets are $50 per person, while VIP tables for 8 are available for $800 and include the VIP Experience. Seating is limited, so early reservations are encouraged.

Community Impact and Mission
FoMCAW board president Kassandra Zess-Pagel shares,
"Friendsgiving is a celebration of all we have accomplished. Without the generosity of the community and funds raised through events like Friendsgiving we would not have been able to save the number of animals we have had over the last nine years. We hope everyone will join us to celebrate this huge milestone and all we have accomplished as a community."
Guests will also hear heartwarming stories of dogs and cats who have found homes thanks to FoMCAW's support. The annual event has become a signature fundraiser, with proceeds providing medical care, enrichment, and heartworm treatment for animals at Manatee County Animal Welfare.
