The 4th of July is always a great time in Manatee County, but this year, the area is really stepping things up. Here are some of the best options for enjoying fireworks, food trucks, live music, and more.
Bradenton Alive’s 4th of July Celebration
July 4th at Rossi Park from 5 pm to 9:30 pm
And on Old Main Street from 7 pm to 11 pm
Downtown Bradenton is bringing twice the fun with celebrations on the Riverwalk and on Old Main Street. Musical artist Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio take the stage at Rossi Park from 5 pm to 9:30 pm. On Old Main St., Luna and the Warriors will play from 7 pm to 11 pm.
There will also be food trucks, a vendor market, a large kids’ play area on the Great Lawn, and, of course, a massive fireworks display, which is expected to start between 9 pm and 9:30. General admission is free, and VIP tickets are available.
The “United on the Manatee River Classic Car Invitational” will also take place in Rossi Park from 4 pm to 9:30 pm, giving you the chance to check out 25 hand-selected custom cars.
This event should be very well-attended, so expect crowds. Plan ahead, come early, and carpool if you can. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes so you can easily walk between locations.

15th Annual Palmetto Fourth Fest
Palmetto Riverside Park, 516 8th Avenue West, Palmetto
July 4th from 5 pm to 10 pm
The Palmetto Fourth Fest brings plenty of fun to the north side of the river. Enjoy live music by the Southern rock/country band Soul Circus Cowboys, 14 different food trucks, 20 artisan vendors, a “little firecrackers” kid’s zone, and more.
Admission is free, but no coolers, tents, or outside alcohol are allowed. Bring your chairs and blankets for a comfortable and fun-filled evening. There will also be free parking and trolley service.
4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contests
Swordfish Grill & Tiki Bar (4628 119th St W, Cortez, FL)
July 4th - Registration 12 pm, Contest at 1 pm
Be sure to come hungry! The grand prize winner will walk away with a $250 gift card and bragging rights as the 2026 “Weiner Winner.”
Even if you don’t plan to compete, the contest promises to be equal parts gross and hilarious – and who wants to miss that? Stick around after to enjoy the gorgeous waterfront views, cold drinks, and live music all day.

Daiquiri Deck on Bradenton Beach (107 Bridge St.)
July 4th at 1 pm
If you’re spending the day out on the Island, head over to the Daiquiri Deck on Bridge Street. They’re also hosting a hot dog eating contest, and the winner will get free daiquiris for a year. If you’re planning to compete, be sure to fill out this registration form before spaces fill up.
And if gorging yourself isn’t on your weekend bucket list, don’t worry. You can snag a $5 hot dog or $7 burger during their Happy Hour Cookout from 3 to 6 pm.
They’ll also have specials on beer and $4 Patriot Missiles all day long.
AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade
One thing about 4th of July in Florida is that it’s always HOT. The Anna Maria Island Privateers will help you beat the heat with the Southeast’s largest water fight parade. Check out fun floats, catch some beads, and prepare to get wet!
The parade kicks off at 10 am sharp and runs from Coquina Beach to Anna Maria City Pier.

Stars & Stripes Celebration at Palmetto Marriott
Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa (600 US-41, Palmetto)
July 4th from 7 pm to 10 pm
The Palmetto Marriott is hosting a free, family-friendly event in their newly named Floridacentral Yard. There will be live music, food trucks, lawn games, and plenty of festive fun.
