Two Local Founders, One Personal Mission: Meet Your Bucket List Co.

Founded by Jaime Wiggins after her husband Mike's cancer diagnosis, the Your Bucket List app launches across Florida in late October to help people find hidden gems, check them off, and make memories with the people they love instead of saving everything for someday.

When Jaime Wiggins's husband, Mike, was diagnosed with cancer, the two of them realized how much of life they'd been putting off for someday. So they started traveling, exploring, and taking the pictures while they still could.

As Mike got sicker and traveling farther from home became harder, Jaime started keeping a list: places and experiences they could still enjoy without leaving Florida. That list is what eventually became Your Bucket List.

After Mike passed away, Jaime kept building. "I don't want people to wait for a diagnosis, a loss, or some other wake-up call to start living," she says. "I want people to spend time with the people they love, take the pictures, make the memories, and stop saving everything for someday."

More Than Another Directory

Your Bucket List isn't trying to be one more place to scroll through and forget. The app, launching across Florida this fall, works in four simple steps: discover somewhere new, save it, actually go, and check it off. Along the way, users can earn badges, track where they've been, and find inspiration for what's next.

"We're not simply creating another directory of places to visit," Jaime says. "We're building something designed to get people off their phones and out experiencing life." The goal isn't endless scrolling. It's turning discovery into an actual afternoon, with actual people, making an actual memory.

You Can't Buy Your Way Onto This List

Here's what makes Your Bucket List different from a typical directory: businesses can't simply buy a spot. Every place is reviewed for inclusion first. Only after a business is accepted can it choose to sponsor for extra visibility, but money alone never earns the spot in the first place.

"We want people to trust that the places and experiences they discover are there because we believe they're worth knowing about, not because someone bought their way onto the list," Jaime says.

A Small Team With One Goal

Jaime founded the company from an intensely personal place, but she isn't building it alone. Co-founder Beth Deyo, who is also the founder and owner of Discover Bradenton, handles the website, operations, and systems behind the scenes, while Jim leads business partnerships and builds relationships with the Florida businesses that end up on the list.

"We're entrepreneurs, explorers, parents, friends, and everyday people who understand how easy it is to get busy and let life pass by," Jaime says. "We're building something we genuinely believe in, and something we'd want to use ourselves."

Your Saved Posts, Finally Put to Use

Almost everyone has a bucket list, even if they've never written one down. It lives in saved Instagram posts, screenshots of places you swear you'll visit, links you've texted to yourself, and restaurants you bookmarked months ago and never tried. Your Bucket List pulls all of it into one place, then gives you a reason to act on it.

The app is built around hidden gems, quirky attractions, and unusual experiences, not just the twenty most famous stops in Florida. Thousands of places and experiences will be waiting when it launches, and the list keeps growing from there.

"I've lived here a long time, and I'm still finding places I never knew existed," says co-founder Beth Deyo. "That's the feeling we want people to have every time they open the app."

A Community of Bucket Listers

Your Bucket List doesn't have to be a solo project, unless you want it to be. The app includes a community feature where you can connect with other Bucket Listers, share tips, ask questions, and trade recommendations. Upload your own photos, leave reviews of the places you've been, and, if you're up for it, arrange meetups with people who are interested in visiting the same places.

"A bucket list is really about the memories," Beth says. "Some people will use it to do things with the family and lifelong friends they already love. Others will use it to meet new people who want to get out and do things too. Either way, the best part is who you end up sharing it with."

Ordinary Days Turn Into the Ones You Remember

For Jaime, the places on the list matter because of what happens once you get there. "After losing my husband, Mike, I understand just how valuable those ordinary days, pictures, and memories eventually become," she says. "Someone might find a place through us, decide to go instead of saying 'maybe someday,' and end up having one of those days they talk about for years."

That's the reason the app exists. It’s built to get people out the door instead of staying at home in your comfort zone.

Launching in Late October

Your Bucket List launches across Florida in late October, but you can join the waitlist now to get early access, launch updates, and other perks. Once you join, you'll also have the chance to apply to be a beta tester.

The team is already working their way through their own bucket list adventures, with a goal of eventually visiting every recommended spot in person. While you're waiting for the app to launch, check out Your Bucket List on Facebook and Instagram to follow along.
