Paws in Motion is back on the Bradenton Riverwalk this March, marking its 19th year with the Humane Society of Manatee County. The annual walk brings together dog owners, volunteers, and supporters for a morning focused on helping local shelter animals.
The event takes place Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Riverwalk Pavilion at Rossi Park, located at 452 3rd Avenue West. Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m. The one-mile walk begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by activities along the Riverwalk. The event runs rain or shine.
How the Walk Helps Local Shelter Pets
Paws in Motion funds medical care, daily enrichment, and shelter operations for animals at the Humane Society of Manatee County. Every dollar raised stays local and supports pets waiting to be adopted.
The walk is short and manageable, so it's easy for people and dogs to participate without stress. Many attendees come back year after year, while others join for the first time to support the shelter or spend time along the Riverwalk with their dogs.
Participants can register ahead of time, raise funds individually or as a team, or take part as a sponsor through the Humane Society's website.
What Happens After the Walk
Once the walk ends, the Riverwalk Pavilion area hosts vendors, nonprofit booths, and activities for dogs and their owners. There will be music, contests, giveaways, local pet-related businesses, and goody bags throughout the morning.
Several adoptable dogs from the Humane Society of Manatee County will also be on site, giving attendees a chance to meet pets currently in care.
Registration Details
Pre-registration is now available. Fees are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors ages 62 and up, and free for children 12 and under. Event-day registration increases to $30 for adults and $25 for seniors. All registered participants receive an event T-shirt and goody bag.
