Pink & Navy Boutique in downtown Bradenton is the kind of place where you can find a cute dress for Sunday brunch, a trendy bag and sunglasses, and the perfect gift for the friend who has everything, all in one stop.

The women’s clothing is fashion-forward and can appeal to shoppers of virtually any age. Shop owner Amy Fleece shared that her 80-year-old stepmother still buys things from the boutique, and an eight-year-old recently came in and picked out a few of the shorter dresses. “We think clothes are fun, and we think you should have fun with them at any age," she says.

Pink & Navy Boutique carries a wide range of dresses, tops, pants, shoes, purses, and sunglasses, with brands like Z Supply and Free People. Amy curates every item in the shop, often from apparel markets like the one at America's Mart in Atlanta, a 13-floor building of showrooms where the pop-up sections are full of emerging brands.

A unique shopping experience with a personal touch

The inventory at Pink & Navy changes regularly, so you’ll often find seasonal items and new trends. It’s set up in a way that makes it easy to put together an entire outfit, including shoes and accessories, without running around to a bunch of different shops. And if you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for, the staff is always happy to help. They often assist customers with creating a signature look.

Once people experience Pink & Navy, they often can’t wait to come back. “We have a lot of consistent locals, which is really fun,” Amy explains. “We love seeing the same people and knowing them, knowing their style. When they come in, we can be like, oh, we just got this. It's new.”

And if you come often enough, you might get special treatment. “Jen knows everybody,” Amy says about her salesperson. “She keeps a wish list, and will often call someone if we get an item she knows they’ll love.”

When you want a one-of-a-kind gift or a treat for yourself, Pink & Navy’s perfume bar is always a great choice. You choose up to four scents (two or three works fine too), and the team makes them into a roll-on that slips right into your purse. Every scent is designed to work with any other, so you can't make a bad one, and the team writes down your recipe and tucks it in the box, so you can have the same blend made again.

The boutique carries a lot of other gift items, including Jellycat, which is one of their top sellers. So next time you’re looking for something special, skip the big box stores and head downtown and support this local, family-owned shop instead.

If you’ve never visited Pink & Navy Boutique, this is your sign. And if you have, now is the perfect time to head back over and see what’s new.
