In recognition of Alzheimer's Awareness Month, Town Square University Parkway has collaborated with The Ringling Museum of Art to coordinate a powerful and unique art exhibition. You're invited to "See the World Through Their Eyes," at a free, public event held on June 26th.

A Unique Artistic Journey
For the past six weeks, members of Town Square University Parkway have participated in weekly art classes provided by The Ringling, creating works in various mediums like photography, collage, and painting. These classes gave individuals the opportunity to showcase life "through their eyes" as a person with cognitive impairment.
The art classes have been a transformative experience for both members and their families. For those with cognitive impairments, these sessions offer a creative outlet and a sense of achievement. Families take pride in seeing their loved ones create beautiful art, providing moments of joy and connection despite the challenges of dementia.
Exhibition, Auction, and Caregiver's Forum
Over 30 pieces of artwork created by individuals in all stages of dementia will be displayed at The Ringling Mueseum's Educational Building for several weeks before coming back to Town Square for the event. On June 26th, the public is invited to view the exhibition and bid on the pieces during a silent auction. There will also be free food, drinks, and a Caregiver's Forum.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit All 4 the Members, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting seniors and their caregivers.
