You may have noticed “Pineapple Kitchen” brand foods in local specialty grocery stores – but did you know they’re located right in Bradenton? This husband-and-wife-owned company has been operating in east Bradenton since March of 2020 and business is booming!

For owners Mike and Jenny Schenk, it was a long time coming. The pair had spent over 40 years doing sales and marketing for major food brands but they had always dreamed of having a food production business of their own. They began working on product development in 2019 and launched their business in March of 2020… right before COVID-19 shut everything down.

However, this turn of events couldn’t keep them down. The company continues to grow and they’re continually adding new products, services, and offerings.

Pineapple Kitchen creates and sells a variety of products including gourmet dips, soft pretzels, and charcuterie “grazing boards,” and prime and Wagyu meats. They pride themselves on being able to bring restaurant-quality foods into your home with products that are perfect for your next party or date night. They also offer corporate catering and sell exclusive food gifts and local artisan décor.

Their tasting room is located at 4914 Lena Road, Unit 104, Bradenton FL 34211, in the Creekwood Commons plaza. You’ll find their golden pineapple right under the large American flag. Once you visit for the first time, you’ll want to return again and again. It truly is a culinary destination.

Not only can you taste many of their current products when you visit, but they also sometimes use their tasting events to test out new concepts. This means you might have the chance to be one of the very first consumers to try one of their new products.

Inside the tasting room, they also offer grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, pastries, and other items from local vendors.

The tasting room is available for private parties and special events. They also host several events here each month, including tastings, cocktail classes, and more. Be sure to check out their website and follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest to keep up with the latest announcements.

The tasting room is also open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and some Saturdays for special events. Stop by and try some of their charcuterie graze boards, artisan cheeses, gourmet dips, soft Bavarian pretzel bites, and prime meats. When you visit, don’t forget to tell them you heard about it on Discover Bradenton!
