Located in the area that many fondly refer to as “Old-Time” Bradenton, Central Cafe has been a local favorite for over 14 years. They’re well known for serving mouthwateringly delicious food in a cool, industrial-chic atmosphere.Â
The chef-inspired menu features only the freshest possible ingredients. While many of the menu items could be described as “Florida Coastal,” there’s also a prominent West-Coast flair. From their famous Creamy Tomato Blue Soup and Hand Cut Fries with Malt Vinegar to their Lump Blue Crab Cakes, Rock Shrimp Tacos, and Portabella/Brie Burgers, you’re sure to find something on the menu you can’t resist! In addition to the much-loved menu items, you’ll also find exciting new specials each day.Â
Central Cafe has also recently completed a remodel that included the addition of their new space — Bar Central. This cozy area is perfect for relaxing with friends and enjoying a handcrafted cocktail, a glass of wine, or a craft beer.Â
You can feel great about “shopping local” by enjoying some of the bar’s local spirits including Siesta Key Rum, Tamiami Gin, Horse Soldier Bourbon, and Florida CANE flavored vodkas. They also feature locally brewed beers on tap, including beers Motorworks, Darwins, Big Top, and Three Daughters.
If you’re planning an event, you’ll also want to check out the newly remodeled (and stunning!) “Urban Loft,” located upstairs. Users have the option of using Central Cafe for their catering and bar needs or bringing in their own vendors. This 6000-square foot space features elegant historical architecture and a contemporary, rustic feel.
The space is ideal for birthday and holiday parties, nonprofit lunches, business events, and networking socials. It has a fully functional bar, pool table, and a gorgeous bridal suite that makes it a perfect wedding venue.
Love live music? You’re in luck! At least twice a month Central Cafe hosts performances by talented local artists including Undine Shorey, Sara Nelms, and Matt Walden.
Stop by and check out their Grand Opening Celebration during the entire month of February. It will feature Happy Hour specials from 2 to 6 pm on Tuesday through Saturday. Specials include $5 specialty drinks, $2 Bud Light drafts, $4 craft drafts, 1/2 price bottles of wine and BOGO glasses of wine!

Central Cafe is located at 906 Manatee Ave E., which is at the corner of Manatee Avenue East and 9th Street East. The iconic, brick-faced building has been integral to the Bradenton business district since the early 1900s.Â
The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner. On Mondays they’re open from 11 am until 2 pm and they’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am until 9 pm (10 pm on Friday and Saturday) They’re also closed on Sundays.
