Loveland Center

Established in 1962, Loveland Center serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them live their lives to the fullest. Through a series of life skills development programs, participants build and strengthen the essential skills to live as independently as possible, while also promoting education and awareness throughout the community to shed the stigma surrounding people with disabilities to help them be seen as a part of, not apart from, their community.

Great organization in supporting the Celtic culture in the area. Provides scholarships for those that apply for the Celtic arts and athletics.

Finally a united group that will be the host our local Scottish Highland Games!! Many of us are looking forward to the inaugural event that will be held on Saturday Feb 10th at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto FL. A much larger venue than the Sarasota Fairgrounds!! I understand there will be a pipe band competition and a challenge between the Manatee County Sheriff's office and the EMT's in the actual Highland Games competition. See you in February!!
