Manatee River Garden Club Inc

The Manatee River Garden Club brings together people who love gardening, nature, and community connection. Founded in the 1920s, the club has a long tradition of beautifying Bradenton and sharing knowledge about plants, flowers, and Florida-friendly landscaping.

Members meet monthly for engaging programs featuring guest speakers on topics like native plants, pruning, and floral design. Each gathering includes a light lunch and the chance to connect with fellow garden enthusiasts.

Beyond the meetings, the club stays active with local projects that promote conservation and environmental education. From restoring public gardens to supporting sustainable practices, MRGC continues to make a positive impact.

Great organization in supporting the Celtic culture in the area. Provides scholarships for those that apply for the Celtic arts and athletics.

Finally a united group that will be the host our local Scottish Highland Games!! Many of us are looking forward to the inaugural event that will be held on Saturday Feb 10th at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto FL. A much larger venue than the Sarasota Fairgrounds!! I understand there will be a pipe band competition and a challenge between the Manatee County Sheriff's office and the EMT's in the actual Highland Games competition. See you in February!!
