Help a Child Become a Confident Reader in Your Community

Rocket Phonics Foundation is a local nonprofit providing free, one-on-one, game-based reading support for children who are struggling to read. Our trained volunteer tutors use engaging phonics games, stories, and encouragement to help students strengthen letter sounds, blending, reading skills, confidence, and a love of learning.

We serve children at school and community sites throughout Manatee and Sarasota Counties, with a focus on early readers who may be reading below grade level.

We also train caring community volunteers to become tutors. No teaching or tutoring experience is necessary. Rocket Phonics provides the training, materials, and ongoing support needed to help a child become a more confident reader.

We welcome volunteer tutors, community partners, donors, and local organizations that would like to help more children receive free reading support.
