HGTV Curb Appeal Star John Gidding Talk

Tickets are now on sale to see John Gidding, the host of HGTV’s Curb Appeal: The Block, for a fun, informative lunch and learn event hosted by Keep Manatee Beautiful. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event begins at 11:30 a.m. on Fri., July 21 at the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

Guests may purchase a ticket either with a box lunch ($30) or without ($10) to see the architectural designer, TV host, author and environmentalist. His new book “At Home with Nature” is available in stores and online. Ten lucky guests will be given copies of the book with an opportunity for autographs. Books will be available the day of as well.

“We’re thrilled to have Mr. Gidding visit the area and deliver some tips on gardening and improving the overall design and health of your home landscaping projects,” said KMB Executive Director Jennifer Hoffman. Keep Manatee Beautiful recently announced its volunteers have collected 88,000 pounds of trash during the year. KMB is pushing to reach 100,000 pounds of trash collected by the end of September.

Born in Istanbul, Gidding attended American schools in Turkey and Switzerland before entering Yale University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in architectural design. An enthusiastic art and math student, he also earned a master’s degree in architectural design from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. He got his start as a fashion model and worked the runways for Armani and Gucci.

Gidding hosted the popular HGTV shows Curb Appeal, Curb Appeal, the Block, Curb Appeal Xtreme, Designed to Sell, appeared on Trading Spaces and is a frequent guest on Rachel Ray. He also stars in the popular YouTube show, In the Room.

You will be able to purchase tickets to win a one of a kind yard design done personally by John. You will be able to hand it to any landscaper you choose to hire. John’s designs typically cost $20,000+ for his amazing experience and eye. The raffle will be a fundraiser for Keep Manatee Beautiful. Tickets will be available for $20 each or 6 for $100.
