In this edition of the Discover Bradenton Business Spotlight, we were excited to have a chance to catch up with Stephanie Ortego and Carlos Mendoza, owners of Quality Counts Carpet, Upholstery, and Tile Cleaning. Here’s what they had to say…
Can you tell us a little bit about your business?
We offer carpet cleaning, upholstery, and tile cleaning.
When did you start your business, and what inspired you to launch it?
We began about 3 years ago when Carlos first started working for Quality Counts. The owner inspired Carlos with his passion for the business and industry, and Carlos admired how he built strong relationships with both customers and employees.
Why do you love what you do? What is it about your business that makes you so passionate?
because providing a clean and healthy environment for people in their homes is incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to see the positive impact our services have on our clients’ lives, and knowing we’ve contributed to their well-being gives us a deep sense of accomplishment.
Why did you choose Bradenton for your business location?
having served the community for 25 years. The founder, who grew up on Anna Maria Island, valued providing service to this community. Continuing to serve Bradenton remains important to us.
What’s your favorite thing about living in and/or having a business in Bradenton?
Bradenton is a diverse and welcoming community where we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many helpful and supportive people. The true sense of community here is remarkable, making it a wonderful place to live and own a business.
What’s one interesting fact you want people to know about your business and/or industry?
One interesting fact about our business is that maintaining a clean home with our services not only improves indoor air quality but also extends the lifespan of your carpets, upholstery, and tiles. Regular professional cleaning can prevent wear and tear, saving you money on replacements and repairs.
What’s your favorite way to #SupportLocal?
We love supporting local businesses, especially by visiting our vibrant local markets. It’s inspiring to see the passion and creativity of our community firsthand. We make sure to stay informed about locally owned businesses and services.
When you’re not working, what’s your favorite thing to do?
We enjoy spending our time away from work dedicating time to our dogs, homes, and families. Whether visiting local parks, beaches, or simply relaxing by the pool, we cherish these moments together.
What else do you want us to know?
We’re grateful to be in the service industry, where helping others means everything to us. Our top priority is nurturing respectful, professional relationships that ensure our customers receive maximum value from our services.
