Scavengers Marketplace, Palmetto

If you love vintage treasures, quirky collectibles, and handmade goods, Scavengers Marketplace should be on your list. This veteran-owned, family-run shop brings together more than 50 local vendors under one roof—each offering their own mix of furniture, home decor, gifts, and one-of-a-kind finds.

The shop has a little bit of everything:

painted furniture with character
antique and shabby chic pieces
vinyl records and comic books
handcrafted jewelry and artwork
vintage and repurposed home goods

Whether you’re redecorating, gift shopping, or just browsing, you’ll find plenty to explore. The layout is thoughtfully arranged, so it feels more like walking through a creative gallery than a typical store. You’ll see the personality of each vendor in how they present their space.

They also carry Fusion Mineral Paint, which is a great choice if you’re into refinishing furniture or tackling DIY projects.

Shopping here is both fun and meaningful. Every purchase supports small businesses, artists, and dreamers in the Bradenton community.

Finally a united group that will be the host our local Scottish Highland Games!! Many of us are looking forward to the inaugural event that will be held on Saturday Feb 10th at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto FL. A much larger venue than the Sarasota Fairgrounds!! I understand there will be a pipe band competition and a challenge between the Manatee County Sheriff's office and the EMT's in the actual Highland Games competition. See you in February!!

Once a PACE girl, always a PACE girl. Being part of PACE Center for Girls' first graduating class was transformative. PACE provided unwavering support during challenging times, boosting my confidence and helping me discover my true potential. The staff's personalized attention and encouragement were instrumental in overcoming obstacles and achieving academic success. PACE is more than an institution; it's a caring community that goes beyond academics. Thank you, PACE Center for Girls, for making a profound difference in my life.
