This Saturday, September 18th is Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day, an annual celebration of boundless curiosity!
The Manatee County Agricultural Museum and Palmetto Historical Park are joining in on the fun by offering FREE admission! They will both be open on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
At the Ag Museum, you’ll be able to create a red barn craft on-site or bring it home to make later. There will also be a Curiosity Scavenger Hunt with a prize drawing for participants.
At Palmetto Historical Park, you can enjoy a tour of the buildings at 2:00 PM. Guests are also invited to take a Museum Day Activity Pack which includes a BINGO game, puzzle, and other pastimes. Each person who completes the BINGO game and turns it back in will be entered into a prize drawing. Prize winners will be notified the following week.
While on the grounds, visitors may also enjoy the Sensory Garden and the Little Free Library. The Museum and Park are located at 515 10th Ave. West, Palmetto. If you’re looking for something fun (and free!) to do on Saturday, check out these interesting activities!
