If you were unexpectedly attacked, would you freeze in fear, or would you know exactly what to do? Tanja Dubois, owner of Combat Martial Arts of Florida, is on a mission to make sure each of her students builds the confidence and skills needed to react appropriately and without fear.
Unlike most other martial arts dojos, Combat Martial Arts doesn’t have uniforms or a belt system. Instead, Dubois offers a no-stress way to build skills without unnecessary pressure or the need for a years-long commitment.
While training for longer periods of time can help sharpen your skills and ensure you develop muscle memory, you can experience significant benefits from a single class, immediately learning how to defend yourself from a violent attack.
Training for Your Body and Your Mind
These martial arts self-defense classes are designed to help you improve your physical abilities and build self-confidence. While your first class will help you build a solid foundation, repeated practice helps you develop physically, emotionally, and even socially.
The class sizes are small so you’re able to get personalized attention. Children, in particular, benefit from developing skills like focus, coordination, and confidence.
Combat Martial Arts offers specialized classes for children starting at preschool age, as well as women’s only classes, and adult and senior classes. The cost is only $45 a week and there’s no contract or long-term commitment.
Tanja, who was born in Germany, has been training in martial arts since she was a child and worked as head instructor at another Dojo in Florida for 12 years before opening her own location on February 11th of this year. She has experience in judo, karate, muay thai, kickboxing, kung fu, taekwondo, jiu jitsu, weapons, and special force self-defense. She’s taught students of all ages and backgrounds and takes a unique approach that makes learning comfortable.
