If you live in Palmetto or Parrish, you've probably noticed that local events, hidden gems, and small business stories don't always get the spotlight they deserve. That's exactly why we've expanded the Discover Bradenton platform to include two new hyperlocal hubs: Discover Palmetto and Discover Parrish.
These new sites are live now, and we couldn't be more excited to bring the same community-focused approach you've come to expect from Discover Bradenton -- just a little farther north.
Why the Expansion?
We've heard from readers, business owners, and event organizers in both communities who wanted more visibility and connection. Palmetto and Parrish are growing, and each area has its own unique vibe. But until now, there wasn't an easy way to find out what's happening locally -- or a place dedicated to sharing your stories.
We're here to change that.
Each site features:
Local stories that spotlight small businesses, inspiring residents, and creative entrepreneurs
Upcoming events happening in your neighborhood
Hidden gems you might otherwise miss--like tucked-away coffee shops, art studios, or weekend markets
And more!
Help Us Grow the Community
We want these platforms to be powered by locals. Know a business that deserves a shout-out? Hosting an event? Want to share a cool story or photo? We're here for it!
You can:
Submit events happening north of the river.
Recommend a business you love.
Pitch a story or send us something cool you think others should know about.
The more voices we include, the better these platforms will be for everyone.
Share Your Best Photos - And Win Prizes!
To kick things off, we're also hosting a North River Photo Contest that's open to anyone in the Bradenton, Palmetto, or Parrish areas. Snap a pic that shows off what makes your community special, and your photos could be featured on our website, social media, or even future print campaigns! PLUS, we'll be giving away some local gift cards (because what's better than supporting local - for FREE?! )
