The Loaded Cannon Distillery, located in Lakewood Ranch, opened its doors last summer. Since then, they’ve been super busy creating a whole new selection of spirits and they’re ready to share the fruits of their labor with you!
On Friday, March 6th from 4 to 8 pm and Saturday, March 7th from 12 to 8 pm they’re planning a Spirit Release Party which will be held inside the Gatewood Corporate Complex directly in front of the distillery (3115 Lakewood Ranch Blvd Suite 110, Bradenton, FL 34211). This is your chance to try their new spirits – 3 flavored vodkas, 3 flavored rums, and 2 whiskeys! Since these are small-batch craft liquors, there will only be 240 of each bottle available. If you miss out, you’ll have to wait for the next batch!
A Family & Pet Friendly Event
This two-day, rain-or-shine event will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, raffle items, hotel giveaways, and more. There will also be ax-throwing and a rock climbing wall! The event is both family and pet friendly and Scoop Dog will also be on-site selling all-natural dog treats. Don’t forget to visit Loaded Cannon’s tent where they’ll be handing out free mini samples of their products.
Tours & Tastings
Want even more? Head inside for a tasting or a tour. To enjoy a tasting, just buy a $5 shot glass and you’ll get to try five samples. Tours during the event are $20 per person and include samples of all eight new spirits as well as samples of Colonial Shrubs syrups, Blood Brothers Bloody Mary Mix, and Pimento USA, a spicy ginger tonic imported from France and distributed by locals right here in Palmetto. You’ll also get a shot glass and a coupon for $5 off a bottle purchase.
Kids of all ages are welcome and children under 17 are free. They also offer a “Designated Driver” tour for those 18+. This is just $5 and includes the tour and tasting of 3 non-alcoholic beverages.
Tours start promptly every hour and half-hour. Walk-ins are welcome, but since this will be a super busy day for them, it’s better if you can pre-book — especially if you have a party of 5 or more. If you pre-book your tour, you’ll need to arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time.
Nonprofit Donations
Loaded Cannon has also partnered up with the nonprofit S.O.L.E. “Supporters of Law Enforcement” and will donate 50% of raffle ticket sales and vendor proceeds to this incredible organization. S.O.L.E. is dedicated to taking care of those who take care of us by being there for law enforcement officers and their families during an illness, crisis, or injury. They also strive to support law enforcement officers and their families through times of long deployment or other unforeseen circumstances.
