Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary

Our mission at Farmhouse Animal & Nature Sanctuary (FANS) is to care for, love and support the 186 exotic, wild and farm animals that live at the sanctuary for the remainder of their lives, find forever homes for adoptable animals and to educate the public on animal care.

Animals arrive for many reasons including neglect, abuse, medically needy or simply their families are unable to care for them any longer. Why they arrive isn’t as important as how they will spend the rest of their lives, feeling safe and secure living in a setting as close to what nature intended.

Education & community are important parts of our mission.

Our Critter Connection Animal Education Outreach brings fun hands-on animal learning directly into the community, through a renovated shuttle bus turned mobile classroom. FANS’ Critter Connection travels to schools, community events, assisted living facilities and businesses with their rescued “Animal Ambassadors” offering interactive experiences through touch, stories and safe interactions.

Our Hands, Hooves & Paws program pairs neurodivergent individuals one on one with the animals teaching them all aspects of the animals’ care while allowing them to interact and bond with the animals. Additionally, they can participate in hands-on classes creating animal enrichment toys and special animal treats.
