Parkwood Dental Hosts Manatee County’s 4th Annual Halloween Candy Buy Back: Earn Cash, Support a Soldier

Parkwood Dental wants your Halloween Candy! They'll pay you CASH and send it overseas to our troops! Click to Learn More

Do your kids get way too much candy for Halloween? This year, they can trade it in for cash and help support our troops! Don’t miss out on Parkwood Dental‘s 4th Annual Halloween Candy Buy Back.

Beginning the day after Halloween and for the rest of the week, you can bring your extra candy to Parkwood Dental between 8 am to 5 pm. They’ll pay $1.00 per bound of unopened Halloween candy (up to $5.00) and will ship it overseas to the troops who are serving our country. When you drop off the candy, they’ll also provide paper and writing supplies for any children who would like to include a letter to the troops.

According to Parkwood’s dentist Dr. Hernandez, “Tooth decay is one of the most common childhood diseases. One in four children suffers from having at least one cavity before entering kindergarten.” As well as hurting their teeth, candy can also lead to hyperactivity and weight gain – so do yourself and your kids a favor and get at least some of it out of your house!

Parkwood’s practice administrator Jodie Hernandes says, “Kids can still have all of the fun of trick-or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well. We chose to continue the Halloween Candy Buy Back to help parents who want to limit the amount of damage that can be done to their children’s teeth.”

This 4th annual event kicks off Parkwood’s “No Cavity November.” During the month, their dental hygienists will begin a dental health awareness community outreach effort in Manatee County schools, demonstrating good brushing and flossing skills while giving out toothbrushes and toothpaste to the students.

Candy can be dropped off at either of Parkwood’s two locations: 5315 4th Ave Cir E, Bradenton, FL 34208 or 2620 48th Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34207.

For more information about this event, please visit their website (www.Parkwooddental.us) or call them at (941) 753.1432.
