SpringHill Suites by Mariott Hotels opened in downtown Bradenton today, and I stopped by for a sneak peek. What a treat!
The 131-room suite-only hotel features a comfortable, beachy vibe and breathtaking views. Guests entering the lobby are greeted by a huge sea turtle mural, comfortable seating, and a giant interactive screen where visitors can scroll through and view information about local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
The downstairs lobby has plenty of space to relax or work on your laptop. There’s also a meeting room, dining area, and outdoor patio seating with a beautiful view of the Bradenton Riverwalk
Although the lobby is gorgeous, nothing compares to the views from the rooftop pool and patio. Here you’ll find a fire table, foosball game, giant pink planters, and modern, color-changing furniture. It’s the perfect spot for lounging around in the sun all day and catching unforgettable views of the sunset each evening.
Although the pool is only accessible to guests, locals will get their chance to enjoy this hot spot as well. Oak and Stone Tavern is still in the building process and will open later this summer. When it does, there will be a full restaurant downstairs and elevator access to the rooftop bar. Once construction is complete, there will be a ribbon cutting and grand opening. Look for this to happen in the early fall.
The construction project for this eight-story hotel cost $23 million dollars and took 16 months. It was created with a focus on the local community. The entire hotel is adorned with artwork that centers around Bradenton and the Tampa Bay area. Most of the hotel employees are Bradenton residents and many of them were born and raised here.
Today was their first day in operation, and plenty of guests are already streaming in. Right now, rooms start at $149 per night, but will likely increase during season. In addition to the standard suites with either a king or two queen beds, there are also five balcony rooms with gorgeous views of the Manatee River and two executive suites, each with two full baths. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing guest to bring dogs up to 30 pounds.
SpringHill Suites in Bradenton is the perfect place to spend a relaxing stay-cation or set your visiting in-laws up with great accommodations. Once the restaurant and rooftop bar are open, it also promises to become one downtown Bradenton’s newest hot spots.
