The Food Bank of Manatee Needs Your Help!

There is currently a critical need for food donations in Manatee County, and the Food Bank of Manatee needs your help! Here's what you need to know.

We’ve all felt the pinch of increased prices for necessities like gas, rent, and food – but for Manatee County’s most vulnerable people, these changes can mean the difference between putting food on the table and going hungry.

In response to increased demand, the Food Bank of Manatee is looking for community support. During times like this, it’s critical that they keep enough food on their shelves so they can continue to help those in need.

The Food Bank of Manatee is one of the PLUS programs of Meals of Wheels PLUS of Manatee. It’s an independent food bank that relies 100% on the support of the community.

In 2020, they saw an increase in the need for food for babies, children, families, and seniors due to the many impacts of the global pandemic.  Today, they continue to see a high need for food and are seeking the help of the community to help fill the shelves of The Food Bank of Manatee.

Here’s how you can help…

The Food Bank is currently calling on businesses, organizations, neighborhoods, and faith communities to help by holding food drives to collect needed non-perishable food items.  It’s easy to do and they will provide you with all the support you need.

If you’re interested in lending a hand, you can register your food drive, arrange for barrel delivery/pick-up, and print food drive marketing materials by visiting their Food Dive Page. You can also give them a call at 941-747-4655 for more information.
