Few things can start a great debate like asking a group of people which local restaurant has the best slice in town. Bradenton residents are passionate about their pizza, so when Discover Bradenton asked this very question, we received quite a spirited response!
So, where should you go to get the best pizza in Bradenton? Keep reading to find out!
1. Danny’s Pizzeria

The number of people who voted for Danny’s Pizzeria was absolutely overwhelming! In fact, this family-owned, New York Style pizza joint received more than twice the number of votes than any other place in town. Voters raved about the authentic brick over pizzas, the delicious white pizza, and said: “the garlic knots are life.”
Danny’s also received a ton of compliments about their pasta dishes and other Italian meals. Beyond the food, however, one of the things that truly makes this place shine is the kind and attentive staff.
Danny’s serves up whole pizzas, slices, calzones & rolls, heroes, Italian entrees, appetizers, salads, and sides. They offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Planning a special event? Ask them about their catering options as well!
2. The Loaded Barrel Tavern

Not only is downtown Bradenton’s Loaded Barrel Tavern a ton of fun to visit, but they’re also one of the best spots in Bradenton to grab a slice (or a whole pie!). They’re famous for their specialty pizzas that take a creative turn most other places would never even try. From the Cuban pizza complete with mustard and pickles to pies topped with chili and Frito’s or blackened chicken Caesar salad, the cooks at LBT never fail to surprise you! While some of the combos might make you say “Huh?!” they’re always delicious!
Not feeling adventurous? No problem! Their regular pizzas are also amazing! Stick with a classic cheese or pepperoni or choose the “Butcher’s Bounty” meat-lovers pizza or the famous “Memphis Yard Bird” made with a ranch dressing base, barbecue chicken, bacon, jalapeno, and banana peppers.
LBT is open every day of the week from noon until 2:30 a.m., except on Saturdays when they open at 9 a.m. to cure your Bloody Mary craving. They also offer Happy Hour every day from noon until 7 p.m.
3. Fav’s Italian Cucina

With their fresh ingredients and homemade pasta dishes, Fav’s Italian Cucina has been “Wowing” Bradenton residents for almost 20 years. They were also voted one of the Bradenton’s Favorite Restaurants. Their pizzas are amazing and we can’t get enough of their stromboli. For many local residents, it’s the go-to place for authentic Italian food. In addition to pizza, calzones, and stromboli, their menu features hot and cold subs, wraps, salads, sides, appetizers, and dinner entrees.
Fav’s Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Fridays until 10 p.m., and Saturdays until 9 p.m. (Closed on Sundays). You’ll want to follow their Facebook page to see their daily specials!
4. San Remo Pizza & Pasta

Voters who recommended San Remo Pizza & Pasta raved about the fresh, hand-tossed dough, 100% mozzarella cheese, and fresh toppings. This family-owned and operated Italian restaurant has been serving authentic dishes to Bradenton residents since 1980. They use traditional family recipes, bake their bread fresh every day, and use specialty sauces that are made fresh in-house.
The menu also features soups and salads, hot and cold sandwiches, calzones and rolls, appetizers, sides, and dinner entrees. San Remo is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and they’re closed on Sundays.
5. Joey D’s Chicago Style Eatery & Pizzeria

Do you prefer a super-thick, deep-dish Chicago-style pizza? Look no further than Joey D’s! They’re known for their extensive menu and large portions. In addition to pizza, we’ve been told they have “The best Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich this side of Chicago.” In addition to pizza, they also serve wings, Philly steaks, Chicago dogs, pasta, subs, and more! Joey D’s was also voted one of Bradenton’s Favorite Restaurants in last month’s Discover Bradenton survey!

6. Brancato’s Brick Oven Pizza

For “real-deal” pizza “straight outta Brooklyn”, you’ll want to pay a visit to Brancato’s Brick Oven Pizza. Their pies are all made-to-order with fresh, quality ingredients and cooked in a wood-burning oven that was shipped over from Italy.
In addition to pizzas, they also serve hero’s, baked and fried calzones, salads, and delicious desserts including fresh-made cannoli. People rave about their creamy and flavorful white pizza and their perfect, homemade crust.
Brancato’s is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. (closed Mondays).
7. Bella Mia

Bella Mia Italian Restaurant serves traditional Italian meals made from family recipes. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and an extensive beer and wine menu. They serve pizza by the slice or a whole pie, specialty pizzas, and a full dinner menu. Try their stromboli, Margherita pizza, and the garlic rolls which one reviewer says are “perfection.”

8. Casa Di Pizza

Straight out of Buffalo, NY, Casa Di Pizza is known for their fresh ingredients, awesome sauce, and amazing dough. They sell pizza by the slice, whole pizzas (regular, deep-dish, or thin crust), and sheet pizza. Feeling adventurous? Try the Steak Pizza topped with ribeye or the Chicken Finger Pizza with a blue cheese base, chicken fingers, and mozzarella cheese.
Casa Di Pizza also serves gluten-free pizza, pasta, subs, calzones, stromboli, and more. You’ll also want to check out their “Buffalo Favorites” including real Buffalo wings, Sahlen’s Charcoal Broiled Hot Dogs, Stuffed Pepper Sandwich, and Roast Beef On Weck. They offer dine-in, take-out, delivery, and catering.
Casa Di Pizza is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Known for their hand-tossed, brick-oven pizza and their awesome white pizza, Vertoris Pizza House is the perfect spot to round out our list of Bradenton’s favorite pizza restaurants. Their pizzas are made with real Wisconsin cheese, homemade dough and sauces, and fresh ingredients. Choose between a hand-tossed or thin crust, or upgrade to a 9-grain crust or a gluten-free crust.
Not only is their pizza excellent, but they also serve a full menu including wings, burgers, hoagies, stromboli, calzones, pasta, and dinner entrees. Bradenton residents also love the huge gluten-free menu, plenty of vegan options, and the super-accommodating staff.
