Whether you’re already a vegan or you’re just interested in trying some delicious new foods, we highly recommend paying a visit to one (or all!) of these great local restaurants.

Happy Soul

The ultimate destination for vegan comfort food, Happy Soul is known for making delicious treats that even carnivores love. Some of the most popular menu items include the vegan “Jaffe” burger, truffle fries, vegan meatloaf, even a vegan pressed Cuban sandwich. Good Fortune Juicery and Vegan Kitchen

If you’re looking for fresh cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, smoothies, toasts, bowls, and other healthy vegan fare, look no further than Good Fortune Juicery and Vegan Kitchen — the newest venture by Bri Dine-Stisser, former owner of The Daily Dose Juice Garden. Their menu changes seasonally, so you’ll want to visit again and again!

Right now, they have items like the “Cravings Bowl,” made with Banana, Cacao, Coconut Flakes, Strawberry Slices, Cacao Nibs, and Almond Butter and a “Harvest Bowl” made with Kale, Roasted Butternut Squash, Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes, Quinoa, Cranberries, and Pumpkin Seeds, with a sweet dijon dressing.

Good Fortune Juicery is located at 1302 13th Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205, inside Adobe Graffiti Lounge Kava Bar in the Village of the Arts.

Mr. Bones BBQ

A BBQ restaurant isn’t the first place you would think of when making a list of vegan restaurants, but Mr. Bones BBQ is known for thinking outside the box. This fun, funky, family-owned restaurant on Anna Maria Island offers delicious vegan dishes like Curried Fried Rice, Kimchi, Sesame Peanut Noodles, Congo Tofu, and a Veggie Burger.

Vegetarians can also enjoy dishes like Vegetarian Tikka Masala, Thai Curry Tofu, Quesadillas, Cheese Grits, Candied Yams, and Cucumber Yogurt Raita.

Mr. Bones is located at 3007 Gulf Dr. on Holmes Beach. They’re open 7 days a week from 4 pm to 9 pm and offer both dine-in and take-out.

Bowled Life

When you’re looking for healthy and nutritious choices for fueling your body on the go, you can’t go wrong with a stop at Bowled Life! They have a huge selection of acai bowls, smoothies, and salads. Vegetarians will love the avocado toast (seriously the best we’ve ever had!) and vegans can make it a “ghost toast” that’s served on a bed of greens instead of bread.

The Bowled Life Café is located at 929 10th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221. You can also follow them on Facebook, where they post their weekly food truck schedule.

Demi’s Noodle House

Specializing in Vietnamese cuisines, Demi’s Noodle House has a separate vegan menu featuring items like Lemongrass Sauté, Veggie Stir Fry with Tofu, and Vegan Pho.

For your non-vegan friends and family, they also offer authentic Asian soup, lunch specials, and a selection of dinner entrees.

Sage Biscuit Café

With a diverse menu that includes traditional meals and vegetarian and vegan options, Sage Biscuit Café is one of Bradenton’s favorite destinations for breakfast and lunch. Some of their most popular vegan menu items include the Black Bean Chili, Southwestern Quinoa Scramble, and Banana Crunch Oatmeal.
