1. Bradenton Public Market – RESCHEDULED TO 10/8

It’s the most exciting time of the year – the Bradenton Public Market is back! We can’t wait to head downtown to check out the fresh-grown produce, local art, live music, and more.

The Public Market, organized by Realize Bradenton, hosts over eighty vendors selling locally-grown fruits, vegetables, plants, organic products, fresh seafood, and prepared foods. You’ll also find local artists and craftspeople displaying their works. The Public Market is held every Saturday from October through May, so don’t miss out on this popular local tradition.


2. Plants and More Sale at Palma Sola Botanical Park

Sunday, October 2nd from 10 am to 3 pm

If you’re a plant lover, you definitely won’t wat to miss the Fall Plants & More Sale at Palma Sola Botanical Park!

They’ll have a wonderful array of plants for sale and craft vendors all throughout the park. There will also be art, food, and music for you to enjoy. This fun annual event is FREE to enjoy, so be sure to head on out.

Note that some vendors accept cash only. Do yourself a favor and stop at the ATM on your way – you’ll be glad you did!


3. Micro Wrestling Returns to Palmetto

Sunday, October 2nd from 6 pm to 8 pm

If you’re looking for an evening of unique entertainment, look no further than Micro Wrestling at El Sombrero in Palmetto. This will be a full-scale WWE-type event with an entire cast under five feet tall.

Celebrate Feeding Empty Little Tummies‘ 12 years of community service and support their cause by heading over to the Cattle Baron’s Ball.

5. Dead Set at Birdrock Taco Shack

6. Cortez Nautical Flea Market

If you’re a fan of all things sea-related, then you don’t want to miss the Annual Cortez Nautical Flea Market at the Florida Maritime Museum. Here, you’ll find all sorts of fishing gear, marine equipment, and other maritime flotsam and jetsam.

There will also be a nautical-themed arts and crafts sale at the Cultural Center. Parking will be available at the F.I.S.H. Preserve next to the Cortez Cultural Center east of FMM. This is a family-friendly event, so bring your kids and come check it out!


7. Cemetary Tours

What better way to celebrate the spooky season than to take a historical Cemetary Tour? During this informative and unique tour, you’ll visit the 1850 Manatee Burying Ground and learn about Manatee County’s history.

This is a FREE hour-long guided tour at the area’s oldest public cemetery. It will begin at 10 am at Wiggins Store in Manatee Village Historical Park. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

10. Goblin Gathering

The Goblin Gathering is back for its 20th spooktacular year at GT Bray Park! Come out with your family and friends to join this fun Halloween Celebration.

There will be tons of family-friendly games and activities including bounce slides, a hay maze, crawling over inflatables, and face painting. Local businesses will be there to give out “treats & sweets” for the children, as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. Food trucks will also be on-site to provide food and drinks.

There will also be a Costume Contest in the following categories: 1 year and under, 2 to 4 years old, 5 to 8 years old, 9 and older, and families. 


11. WCR Fall Chili Cook-off Festival

22. Stuff the Bus

All Manatee County Publix Locations

The holidays are right around the corner, and Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, needs your help to stuff the bus!

As inflation and higher costs of living caused the food security in our area to skyrocket, they are planning to raise 150,000 pounds of food in order to feed the Manatee County community.

To participate, you can go to any Manatee County Publix location, purchase food to donate, and drop it off at the school bus out front.

23. Boo Fest (LWR)

25. Main Street Live

We are super excited for the return of Main Street Live in downtown Bradenton! This is going to be a not-to-miss event, so be sure to mark your calendars for Bradenton’s most popular street party.

This month’s series is a Halloween street block party on the historic Old Main Street. Streets will be closed, as vendors and food trucks line up and live music plays all throughout the night.
