1. Friendly City Flea

If you haven’t visited Oscura Cafe & Bar in downtown Bradenton yet, you’re missing out! This new hot spot is the perfect place to grab an espresso or a beer, bring your laptop and do some work, or chill out with friends. On Saturday, June 1st, they’re hosting The Friendly City Flea where you’ll find music, cocktails, and goods for sale by some of the area’s greatest creatives.

Some of the items available will include vegan treats, vintage items, artwork, plants, and flowers. Come on out and support local artists, small businesses, and your community!

2. Art, Animals, and You at ArtCenter Manatee

Gather up the whole family, including your furry friends, and head over to ArtCenter Manatee for Art, Animals, and You on Saturday, June 1st. This free event welcomes well-behaved dogs and features an art exhibit called “Fur, Feathers, Flora & Fauna.” You’ll also enjoy children’s workshops, a scavenger hunt, and free pet portraits!

3. Dog Days of Summer at Caddy’s

It looks like the first weekend of June has gone to the dogs! Get your fur-baby ready for an adventure at Caddy’s Dog Days of Summer Party on Sunday, June 2nd. There will be tons of prizes and giveaways, a “Best Dressed Pet” costume party, free frisbees, and $9 domestic pitchers.

4. Kitty Yoga at PetSuites

5. Coquina Beach Market

One of the area’s biggest outdoor markets, the Coquina Beach Market features a TON of vendors selling items including artwork, crafts, purses, pottery, and plants. You’ll also find apparel, jewelry, unique gifts as well as produce, local honey, herbs and teas, baked goods, gourmet foods, and more! From 10:30 to 2:30, the AMI String Band strolls through the market, providing live entertainment.

6. Beer and Bingo at Good Liquid Brewing Co.

8. Movie Night in the Beer Garden

Every Wednesday night throughout the summer, Motorworks Brewing hosts Movie Night in the Beer Garden. Bring a blanket so you can get cozy on the turfed lawn and enjoy complimentary popcorn while sipping your favorite brew. This event is free, and well-behaved pets are welcome. On June 5th, they’ll be showing The Goonies. Catch ET on the 12th, Top Gun on the 19th, and Men in Black on the 26th.

9. MVP Open Bowling at Bowlaroo

While lots of Bradenton events take a hiatus in the summertime, now is prime time for summer bowling season. If you’ve ever thought about joining a bowling league or just want to do something fun on Friday nights, you’ll want to check out MVP Open Bowling at Bowlaroo (formerly AMF Bradenton Lanes).

The free event held on Friday, June 7th will give you a taste of what to expect during the upcoming 8-week bowling league which starts on June 21st. The league is open to all players, and no former bowling experience is required (really!).

11. Bradenton Boat Show

Boating enthusiasts will love spending a day at the Bradenton Boat Show. Check out dozens of new boat models, learn fishing tips from the pros, check out the hands-on workshops, and shop for boating accessories, apparel, and more.

Tickets are $5, and children under 12 get in free. On Friday, purchase one adult ticket and get a second one for free.

12. Intro to Yoga Workshop at High Vibe Studio

Check out the newly opened High Vibe Studio in downtown Bradenton and learn everything you need to know so you can feel comfortable going to your first “beginner” yoga class. 13. Manatee Chamber Culinary Crawl

If you’re ready for an exciting culinary adventure, you won’t want to miss the Manatee Chamber Culinary Crawl. Choose your route and hop on a tour bus for an all-day restaurant crawl you won’t soon forget.

River Rambler will take you to Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Ellenton, Central Cafe, Mattison’s City Grille Bradenton Riverwalk, Riverhouse Restaurant, and Riveria Dunes Dockside. East Express goes to Grove, Texas Roadhouse, Angry Rooster Wing Company, Rusty Bucket, and MacAllister’s Grill and Tavern.

Prefer the island life? Hop on Island Express and explore Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Pier, The Beachhouse, Gulf Drive Cafe, Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen, and Eat Here.

During the tour, there will be lots of chances to win prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Your admission includes the bus ride, food samples at each stop, bottled water on the bus, and a cool swag bag to take home. The cost is $50 for Chamber members and $60 for non-members.

14. Goat Yoga at My Tranquility Farm

If you haven’t tried Goat Yoga at My Tranquility Farm yet, you’re missing out! This super-casual class is beginner friendly and gives you a chance to connect with yourself while enjoying some time with fun and playful goats. The class runs for 60 minutes and there will be another 30 minutes for playing with the goats and taking photos. Tickets are $20 and should be purchased ahead of time.

15. Beer Yoga with Dj Victor Amato

Sundays are for self-care, and nothing says relaxation like Beer Yoga with a DJ at Darwin Brewing Company. Tara Garland of Wild Orchid Wellness will lead a yoga class in the beer garden while Dj Victor Amato spins house music to help deepen your practice even further.

17. Summer Solstice Sun Salutations

Want to raise your vibrations while ringing in the Summer Solstice? Head over to Holmes Beach near Cafe on the Beach and join the Thrive Yoga & Fitness instructors for a 108 Sun Salutation practice. Paint a Central Perk mug, “Friends” themed photo frame, or paint a “Friends” quote on your choice of over 500 different types of pottery. While you’re painting your treasure, play “Friends” trivia for a chance to win gift cards!

21. Bradenton Blues Brunch at Mattison’s Riverwalk

Offered on the last Sunday of each month, Blues Brunch at Mattison’s on the Riverwalk is a blues-lovers dream! This month’s event will feature a performance by LC Williams and the Driver. There’s no cover to enjoy the music, and the brunch menu includes lots of decadent items like Stuffed French Toast or Steak and Eggs, as well as $5 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas.

25. Elvis Jailhouse Ballroom Revival!

If you love dancing and the music of Elvis, then you won’t want to miss Elvis Jailhouse Ballroom Revival!  This exciting stage production was choreographed and directed by world-renowned three-time World Champion, Wilson Barrera.
