Tommy Schwarz

Thomas “Tommy” Schwarz is a Bradenton based writer and communications professional who has called the area home for more than two decades. A graduate of USF Sarasota-Manatee’s Professional and Technical Communication program, Tommy has spent nearly a decade working in writing, editing, research, and digital media. He also brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience, giving him a genuine appreciation for the people, risks, and countless hours behind every locally owned business. As a contributor to Discover Bradenton, Tommy focuses on the stories behind the storefronts, who built them, why they chose Bradenton, and what makes their work worth discovering. When he isn’t writing or exploring the community, he can usually be found spending time with his dog, Indy, searching for a great local meal, or falling down an unnecessarily deep history rabbit hole.
