Bamboozer Island Bar is Poised to Be One of Downtown’s Newest Hot Spots
As the city of Bradenton begins to open back up, visitors to downtown’s Old Main Street have a few new bars to visit!
One that we’re super excited about is The Bamboozer Island Bar, located in the building that previously housed The Old Main Pub. We recently sat down with the bar’s new owner, Joey Bennett, to talk about his plans for the space. Here’s a preview of what you can expect.
A Wall of Frozen Cocktails
Whether you’re a visitor walking over from one of the nearby downtown Bradenton hotels or you’re a local looking to beat the heat with a frozen cocktail, a concoction from the newly installed wall of daiquiri machines is sure to please your palate.
Games and Entertainment
There will be pool tables inside the bar with free pool every Sunday. Eventually, Bennett plans to add floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor seating area where guests can play games including cornhole.
A food truck will be added in the future. Initially they’ll offer walk-up service with table service coming at a later date.
Local Art and Music
There are plans in place for live music — mostly Reggae style — with some big-name bands already lined up for the future. You’ll also find some other unexpected things coming out of the bar, including live streaming and local podcasts.
Patrons will get a close-up look of local artist Keenan Perren‘s giant sculpture of the Bamboozer logo made from reclaimed skateboard parts. The inside and outside of the bar are also adorned with artwork by Chalk Festival legend Matt McAllister — and this is just the beginning. You can expect to see many more cool things happening here in the coming months.
Visit Bamboozer Starting Friday (June 26th)
Bamboozer is located at 313 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205.
A soft opening is planned for Friday, June 26th. UPDATE: The soft opening is scheduled for Friday, July 3rd. This non-smoking bar will follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing to protect both their staff and their patrons. Once the restrictions have been lifted and the bar is allowed to reach full capacity, they’re planning to throw an epic grand opening party. We can’t wait!

We are so excited! We are able to walk to all the awesome spots on Main St. Looking forward to making this a new watering hole.
I just stopped at the BAM BOOZER! I am a BIG fan of anything TIKI. I though this place was awesome! Great TIKI decor. They are doing a bit of construction to make the place even more inviting! The GAL working there was very friendly & professional. If you’re looking for a great TIKI BAR……look no further. This is the place. I’ll be visiting this place on a regular basis. Actually, I’d like to move in! I wish their business good luck & much success!
