Here's what to know before you go.

Published Apr 27, 2026

The 19th Annual Fire Charity Fishing Tournament is scheduled for June 13th and 14th, 2026, along the Bradenton Riverwalk. The event, which is organized by the Fire Charity Fishing Foundation, will bring together live music, fishing competitions, local vendors, and a fireworks show.

Admission is free, though certain tournament-related activities or contests may have their own registration details. Entertainment during the weekend is supported by Motorworks Brewing. Here's what else you need to know.

Saturday: Music, Activities, and Fireworks

Saturday brings the festival portion of the weekend to the Riverwalk, with food trucks, vendors, cold drinks, live music, and family activities planned throughout the day.

The schedule also includes the Hooked on Heroes Cornhole Tournament and the Kids’ Fire Charity Fishing Tournament, giving families and groups a few different ways to take part. A major Saturday night highlight is a performance by Dylan Cotrone, a Bradenton-area singer-songwriter with roots in Cortez and Anna Maria Island.

At 24, he’s been gaining attention through his Surfer Girl Skydiving Tour and a growing online following across platforms like TikTok and YouTube. His music leans into a coastal, sun-soaked sound with elements of country and folk, and he’s known for tracks like “Weekend Religion,” “Even Through Odds,” and “Florida California.”

He’ll take the stage Saturday evening following the day’s lineup, bringing a hometown performance to the Riverwalk before the night closes out with fireworks along the water.

Sunday: Fishing Tournament and Community Events

Sunday shifts the focus on the tournament, with inshore, nearshore, and offshore weigh-ins bringing anglers back to the Riverwalk. Spectators can follow along as catches are brought in, divisions wrap up, and tournament results take shape.

The day also includes a live auction, raffle prizes, giveaways, fishing and boating vendors, an EMT scholarship awards ceremony, and the tournament award show.

Things to Know Before You Go

Parking:
Public parking is available around the Riverwalk, but it tends to fill up during larger events. Arriving earlier in the day or using nearby garages can help avoid circling for a spot.

What to bring:

  • Sunscreen and sunglasses for daytime hours

  • A portable chair or blanket if you plan to stay for music

  • Cash or card for food trucks and vendors

  • Water, especially during the afternoon heat

Timing your visit:

  • Saturday evening is best for music and fireworks

  • Sunday afternoon is ideal for catching the weigh-ins and awards
