ALSO Youth’s mission is to empower LGBTQ+ youth and their allies in creating inclusive communities. We provide a safe space where LGBTQ+ youth and their allies can meet together and be themselves without fear of criticism or judgment, enjoy art & other activities, and develop leadership skills. We focus on development of social skills and self esteem through support groups and mental health counseling services. Our goal is to promote the health, safety, and personal growth of LGBTQ+ youth and their allies, and families.

Great organization in supporting the Celtic culture in the area. Provides scholarships for those that apply for the Celtic arts and athletics.

Finally a united group that will be the host our local Scottish Highland Games!! Many of us are looking forward to the inaugural event that will be held on Saturday Feb 10th at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto FL. A much larger venue than the Sarasota Fairgrounds!! I understand there will be a pipe band competition and a challenge between the Manatee County Sheriff's office and the EMT's in the actual Highland Games competition. See you in February!!
