We were excited to have a chance to catch up with Tony Milen owner of Jax Kar Wash. Here’s what he had to say…
Can you tell us a little bit about why you love what you do? What is it about your business that makes you so passionate?
|Our dad “Jack” started Jax in 1953, and as my two brothers and myself became old enough, we entered into the business and helped dad build the car wash chain to 11 locations in Detroit and its surrounding suburbs. My brother Bruce still operates 9 locations there today. It’s definitely in our blood!|
What’s your favorite thing about owning a business in Bradenton?
|I love the smaller community feel as well as the wonderful people I’ve met being in business here. Thanks to all of our great customers, we continue to grow after 13 years in Bradenton!|
What do you want people to know about your business?
|We are in the “People Business” and focus on great customer service. We are very serious about taking great care of our employees and diligently coach them on not only how to provide a clean and shiny car but how to leave our customers remembering the great experience they had.|
What’s your favorite way to #SupportLocal?
|Being in the “cleaning business” allowed us to offer our cleaning and sanitation services on a complimentary basis to our local heroes such as first responders, medical professionals, and teachers during the height of the pandemic. We also facilitate 1-2 charity events per year. And, of course, we always shop local|
