1. Plan Your Escape

Escape rooms are all the rage – for good reason! It’s so much fun to challenge yourself to find clues and solve puzzles so you can “escape” before your 60-minute time limit is up. Whether you’ve done an escape room in the past or you’ve never tried it before, playing a game this month is a great way to beat the heat and have a great time.

They have a huge selection of activities including aerial silks, battle beams, foam pits, trampoline basketball, a Ninja Obstacle Course, and more!

4. “Mix” Things Up

There’s so much to do at Mixon Fruit Farms! If you want to stay in the AC, visit their shop, taste wines, sample fresh juices, grab lunch at their Groveside Cafe, and taste their homemade fudge and sweet treats – including their “locally famous” orange swirl ice cream.

If you don’t mind the heat, you can also take an informative and educational ride on the Orange Blossom Tram which will take you through the Orange Grove, past the Garden Oasis & Koi Pond, and end with a stop at their Wildlife Rescue where you can enjoy an interactive presentation about the current rescued Florida animals, reptiles and birds.


5. Get Bendy

There are SO MANY great places to take a yoga class in Bradenton!

In West Bradenton, Thrive Yoga & Fitness is a great choice. They offer a huge variety of classes including hot yoga, Yin, Yinergy, power yoga, and more.

If you haven’t been to Fiorelli Winery and Vineyard yet, you’re missing out! It’s surprising how many people don’t know there’s a winery in Bradenton, and although it may be a bit of a drive, it’s well worth the effort!

This family-owned business is located in east Bradenton, at 4250 County Road 675 East. They’re open to the public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and offer wine tastings at the top of every hour. No matter what type of wine you prefer, you’re sure to find something you love. They make everything from dry to sweet and have even added a few new fruit wines to their lineup.

You can also shop in their unique gift shop where you’ll find lots of cute wine accessories, and, of course, bottles of all your favorites for sale.


8. Embrace Your Inner Artist

You don’t have to have any experience to create a beautiful painting at Painting with a Twist! They’re all about creating FUN art, not fine art.

Even if you’ve been here before, it’s worth checking out again. In the month of August, they’ve got lots of cool projects like Paint Pours, Screen Art, painting on wood planks, “Paint Your Pet” days, and more!

You can’t talk about fun things to do in Bradenton without mentioning everyone’s favorite game hosts – Steve O Entertainment!

Steve and his crew host a series of trivia and other games throughout Bradenton every week. On Mondays, you can head out to RJ Gators for general knowledge trivia at 7 pm. On Tuesdays, they’re at Truman’s Tap & Grill on SR 70 and Dcoy Ducks on Holmes Beach.

10. Solve a Murder

Someone has been murdered and it’s up to you to figure out whodunnit! You won’t want to miss these super-fun murder mystery dinners at Pineapple Kitchen.

During this 2.5 hour event, you’ll enjoy a selection of drinks and a 3-course dinner prepared by their executive chef. When you sign up, you’ll receive specific details about your assigned character and clues to gather for the mystery.

This is an interactive murder mystery party where everyone is a suspect. Costumes are encouraged but not required. A prize will be awarded to the sleuth who solves the mystery

Want to try something really different? Head over to Witchgrass Studio in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts for one of their pod parties!

Artist Harriet Harris will show you how to create a gorgeous glass masterpiece of your own. She’ll start by teaching the basics, then let you experiment. No experience is necessary, and you’re welcome to BYOB to these fun and informal classes.

There are lots of vintage shops in Bradenton, and exploring them is a great way to keep cool and while having a ton of fun.

The Cat’s Meow: A Vintage Marketplace is an almost 8,000 square foot vintage wonderland! It’s home to over 35 vendors who offer an eclectic mix of thrift finds, antiques, clothing, artwork, handmade goods, and more.

Blessed & Distressed Vintage is another truly unique experience. It’s over 3,000 square feet and hosts more than 30 artists and collectors offering a huge selection of antique, vintage, retro, and upcycled items and handcrafted treasures.

If you’re looking for a delicious meal, you’ll want to visit Mean Dean’s Local Kitchen for Sunday Brunch. Every Sunday between 11 am and 3 pm they’re serving up items like Prime Rib Eggs Benedict, Banana’s Foster French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, and Elderflower, Hibiscus & Lavendar, or Blackberry Mimosas.

Looking for something a bit more casual? Head over to Cork’s Cigar Bar for a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa Bucket. Every Saturday between 11 am and 4 pm, you can get a bucket with a bottle of champagne, juices, and fruit for just $20!

They offer a huge selection of Kava, Exotic Teas, Coffee, Kombucha, and CBD-infused seltzer water. They also serve up freshly prepared Sushi, Noodles, Poke Bowls, and more.

Friday is all-day happy hour with $5 basic wenches and $7 premium craft cocktails. On Saturday you can enjoy BOGO daiquiris all day long and on Sundays, they offer all-you-can-drink Bloody Marys from 12 pm to 3 pm.
