Business Owner Spotlight: Linger Lodge Restaurant

In this week's Business Owner Spotlight. We were excited to catch up with Rita Lewis, owner of the Linger Lodge Restaurant. Here's what she had to say...

Can you tell us a little bit about why you love what you do? What is it about your business that makes you so passionate?

I’ve been in the Restaurant business for over 30 years. I fell in love with Linger Lodge Restaurant 14 years ago when I became a chef here.

I worked my way up to Manager and then General Manager and now I am the owner. I love the interaction with my guests. Serving great food and making new friends brings me so much joy.

What’s your favorite thing about owning a business in Bradenton?

I have found that the community in Bradenton is extremely supportive of small businesses, and that’s really appreciated.

What do you want people to know about your business?

We are a family-owned and operated restaurant and we serve high-quality, Southern-style food. Our unique, one-of-a-kind Old Florida Restaurant is a hidden gem with a great view of the Braden River.

We have 160 seats, which include 2 screened-in decks, a full bar, and an outside beer garden. It’s the perfect location fo hosting large parties and gatherings.

What’s your favorite way to #SupportLocal?

I try to buy local whenever I can. It always feels good to support other small businesses.

Linger Lodge Restaurant has an Old Florida vibe that dates back to 1945.

Located on the Braden River, the menu features unique items like Florida Gator, Frog Legs, Fried Green Tomatoes and so much more. They also have amazing Bloody Marys every Sunday!
