Things to do downtown
Start with the Riverwalk, the Bishop Museum, and the Saturday market. A few smaller ones are worth knowing about too.
The Bradenton Riverwalk
The Riverwalk is downtown's back yard. two miles of trail, a free splash pad, and the Mosaic Amphitheater right on the water. Full Riverwalk guide →"
The largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast, and the reason school buses fill the parking lot on weekday mornings. The Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat is the draw, the planetarium is the surprise, and the Mosaic Backyard Universe is where you put younger kids. Locals should know about Bishop After Dark, an adults' evening on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Saturday mornings on Old Main Street, October through May. Produce, local makers and live music, plus a chef demonstration at ten every week.
