Parenting Matters Offers Free Musical Motion Program This Summer

Parenting Matters, a local nonprofit organization, is offering a fantastic opportunity for parents and caregivers with young children. Their Musical Motion program is a FREE bilingual learn-and-play class that focuses on fostering early learning and literacy skills in children aged 0-5. Here’s everything you need to know about this enriching program.

About the Program

Musical Motion is designed to encourage bonding while developing essential skills in young children. The sessions are filled with creative activities that enhance brain development and build preschoolers’ social, language, and motor skills. This program not only benefits the children but also provides parents and caregivers with effective activities they can continue at home to help their children thrive.

Who Can Participate?

The program is open to parents, caregivers, and their children aged 0-5. It offers a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage in play with their children and socialize with other families. Additionally, parents have access to Parenting Educators who can answer questions about parenting and child development.

How It Works

Families can attend as many or as few hour-long sessions as they wish. The program operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Educators engage children in a way that suits their age and temperament, ensuring that every child participates fully or partially, depending on their comfort level. Families who attend ten classes will receive an Activity Bag to take home, while supplies last.

In addition to the regularly scheduled sessions, Parenting Matters is holding pop-up sessions throughout the summer at various locations, including:

  • Anna Maria Library
  • Braden River Library
  • First Baptist Bradenton
  • Lakewood Ranch Library
  • Palma Sola Botanical
  • Rocky Bluff Library
