Nonprofit Spotlight: Hope 4 Communities

This week, we were thrilled to chat with Hope 4 Communities to learn more about their mission and how we can help. Here's what they had to say.

Can you tell us a little bit about your mission and how you help to support our community?

Our Mission is to ensure that all children who are homeless and in need are prepared for school by initiating Day4Hope events, creating outreach opportunities, and coaching faith-based organizations to develop relationships with the children and families we serve.

Can you describe what you do to support our community?

Hope 4 Communities helped over 3,000 homeless and at-risk kids be ready to go back to school in 2021 with our Day4Hope. This was our 13th annual summer and our efforts spanned over 20 events.

We partner with local churches to help these kids begin the first day of school on an even playing field with their peers. They receive school supplies, care packages, food, as well as a haircut, a medical and dental checkup, an eye exam, diabetes screening, and family photos.

We believe that children who are prepared will want to do well in school, so our mission helps support better school attendance, better grades, and, over time, rising these children up to be leaders in our community.

We’re all about providing continued hope and positive relationships to help change the children’s circumstances and lives over the long term.

What’s the best way our community can help?

We can always us monthly donors! You can find more information on our Champions for Hope donor page. Also, from noon on Tuesday, April 26th until noon on the 27th, you can participate in The Giving Challenge, where donations up to $100 are DOUBLED! Please consider visiting Hope4Communities Donation page and making a contribution!

Along with our general volunteers, we also need doctors, nurses, dentists, hygienists, hairstylists, barbers, and photographers who are willing to give of their talent and time to help kids in need in your own backyard. Please take a moment to learn more about our volunteer program today!
