From the moment you step inside Reinspired Boutique, you can tell that it’s so much more than your average retail store. Located in a quaint, bungalow-style building on Manatee Ave., this shop has a warm, welcoming vibe. The eclectic inventory of clothing, accessories, and specialty gifts flows from room to room, creating a unique shopping experience.
However, it’s what goes on behind the scenes that makes this Bradenton boutique truly special.
Reinspired Boutique truly is more than a retail store — it’s a “collective of women owned-artisan businesses under one roof.”
The shop carries a wide variety of products, including clothing, jewelry, vintage and rustic farmhouse finds, new and locally curated home décor, reinspired furniture, candles, and bath and body products.
Many of the products are made by artists, makers, and creators who are also connected with charitable organizations. There’s a story behind most of the items in the store, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of many of the products goes back to charitable organizations.
In addition, the store also donates 10% of their sales to the selected charity of the month.
Women With a Vision
When Lenette Moshier, Wendy Burke, and their visionary partners first met in 2017, they never imagined themselves where they are today. However, the world works in magical ways.
As the ladies got to know one another, they began to share their visions of creating a boutique that would bring the community together and make a real impact. Together, they created a fun, inspiring way to empower female artists and entrepreneurs.
They’ve also held true to their commitment to partnering with local social service providers who empower women and families to help them get out of poverty, addiction, human trafficking, and domestic violence. They also give back to animal rescue and pet adoption programs.
Bouncing Back After COVID-19
Reinspired Boutique opened its doors on Black Friday just last year. They enjoyed a strong start and built up a loyal customer base. However, after just a few months, everything was placed on hold in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They’re open again, and although it’s been a struggle, they’re bouncing back. They credit this, in part, to an understanding landlord and the continued support of their loyal customers.
Although times were tough during those months, Lenette and Wendy still kept their word, continuing to make the donations they had promised and doing right by their artists and consigners. Lenette explained it best when she said:
“This isn’t just ‘our’ store. We’re a collective of women who love being together, doing things together, and really making a difference.”
Today, Lenette and Wendy are thankful to be back. Although they’ve had to make some small changes to keep everyone safe, they continue to strive to create a welcoming environment where customers are comfortable not just shopping, but also spending some time relaxing and simply “hanging out.”
