Some parents find it a challenge to get their kids off the couch and away from their devices. One local area business is changing that in new and exciting ways! Star Academy of Dance & Aerial Arts offers fun and unique classes that kids of all age love.
Children as young as four years old can enjoy learning ballet, jazz, and acrobatics. Kids over the age of seven can also take things (literally) to a whole new level with aerial silks and lyra classes.Â
Star Academy also offers adult aerial classes (ages 16+) twice a week. Adult classes are open to all skill levels and ages – they’re even senior friendly!Â
In addition to classes, Star Academy also offers private lessons for 1-2 students and aerial/dance parties for birthdays, girls night out, and other celebrations. Parties can accommodate up to 12 participants and are tailored to suit your age group, skill levels, and theme.Â

Meet the Owner
Owner/instructor Caitlyn Haley is a Bradenton native and has been dancing in the Tampa area since she was two years old. She began training in aerial silks and lyra when she was 16 years old and began teaching dance and aerial when she was in college at the University of South Florida.Â
After teaching for many years in Tampa, in May of 2019 Caitlyn decided to bring her talents back to Bradenton. Star Academy now has over 30 students and continues to grow. They’ll have a dance competition team in the spring and a dance and aerial recital in June.Â
Star Academy of Dance and Aerial Arts is located at 602 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton, FL 34205 — inside One Tribe Fitness. You can find Caitlyn in the studio on Mondays from 6 to 9 pm, Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9 pm and Fridays from 4:30 until 7 pm. She’s also always just a phone call or email away.
