The Best Thrift Stores in Bradenton (According to the Locals)

Thrift shopping is all the rage lately — for good reason! There are many local shops where you can find rare and interesting items, high end clothes and shoes, and, sometimes, even brand new items for a fraction of the price. The key to finding great stuff, though, is knowing where to look.

We recently asked the thousands of locals following our Facebook page to tell us about their favorite area thrift stores — and now we’re sharing the results with you. Without further day, here’s our round-up of the 10 best thrift stores in Bradenton (according to the locals).

1. Manatee Memorial Foundation Thrift Shop

We were absolutely blown away by how many people recommended Manatee Memorial Foundation Thrift Shop! It’s known for being super-clean and having extremely friendly volunteers. They always have a wide variety of high-quality items and very reasonable prices. This is a great place to shop for clothing, jewelry, household items, craft and sewing items, furniture, books, and more!

Best of all, you’ll feel great knowing that the money you spend is going to an excellent cause! The shop is run by auxiliary volunteers and all of the proceeds benefit Manatee Memorial Foundation, which offers scholarships and funding to multiple agencies and charities in Manatee County.

The Manatee Memorial Thrift Shop is located at 4517 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 9 am until 4 pm (closed on Sundays). Donations to the shop are both needed and accepted. They also offer pick-up for large items, like furniture and working appliances. Want more information? Call them at 941-745-2047.

Another place I love — on Anna Maria Island and close to the heart of Bradenton — is The Pineapple Marketplace. They have carefully selected second hand clothing, new but seconds clothing and sleepwear as well as lots of home furnishing and decor. Located at 425 Pine Avenue on the island — check out on your next beach visit!
