1. Free Virtual Wellness Series

Are you ready to rest your mind, body, and soul? Take time to focus on you! Join The Women’s Resource Center of Manatee for their new Virtual Wellness Series with Mary Onne Bode. This four-part, FREE online series includes the following sessions:

October 1st: Self-Care For Stress Relief 
October 15th: Breath Meditation
October 29th: Health, Hearth, and Harmony
November 12th: Chi Flow

2. HOPE in Motion

DEADLINE to Register is September 30th! Event Oct 1st – Oct. 31st
Online Event Hosted by Hope Family Services

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Inaugural HOPE in Motion Challenge will begin on October 1st and run through the entire month of October. You can participate in this virtual event from anywhere, individually, or as part of a team. All you have to do is move — whether by walking, running, jogging, biking, doing yoga, or even just strolling with your dog. 

Each step taken helps to raise awareness while supporting the goal of bringing services to those who need it the most. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 30TH. Learn more here!


3. First Fridays at Gypsea Soul

Friday, October 2nd and the First Friday of Each Month through April

Beginning in October, on the first Friday of each month, Gypsea Soul will remain open until 8 pm. There will be cocktails downstairs and two creative workshops upstairs.

5. Wine Down Yoga

6. Outdoor Marketplace

Enjoy a dozen Art Vendors at Adobe Graffiti Lounge Kava Bar, in Bradenton’s Village Of The Arts! You’ll find paintings, jewelry, pottery, graffiti, yummy snacks (including infused baked goods! ? ), essential oil products, herbal products, tarot card reading, etc!

Plus, of course, yummy healthy drinks from Adobe, such as Nitro coffee, kombucha, kefir, kava, and kratom to make you feel better in so many ways!


7. Fall Plants and More Sale

Saturday, October 3rd from 8 am until 3 pm
Palma Sola Botanical Park: 9800 17th Ave. NW, Bradenton, FL 34209.

Palma Sola Botanical Park’s Fall Plants & More Sale will feature native and exotic plant vendors, as well as artisans in wood, pottery, textiles, and jewelry. There will be music and tasty food (barbecue and sweet treats)!

Spend a lovely day in the park wandering among the vendors and greeting old and new friends. Social distancing and face masks are encouraged. 


8. The Bradenton Farmer’s Market

Opening Day: Oct 3rd, 9 am to 2 pm (And Every Saturday Through May)
Old Main St. Downtown Bradenton

We couldn’t be more excited for the return of the Bradenton Farmer’s Market! This year’s market will feature locally-grown fruits, vegetables, plants, organic products, fresh seafood, and prepared foods as well as the work of local artists and craftspeople.

9. Saturday Evening Zipline Event

10. Fall Festival at Scavengers Marketplace

Head over to Scavenger’s Marketplace for their fun Fall Festival. They’ll have pop-up tents set up in the parking lot and you’ll enjoy fall savings both inside and outside the store.

You can expect deep discounts, as they need to make room for the upcoming holidays. The Renegade Burgers food truck will also be on-site from 11 am until 2 pm.


11. Florida Highwaymen Landscape Painting Workshop

Saturday, October 3rd from 6 pm to 8:30 pm

Come and view the Palmetto Art Center’s significant collection of nostalgic Florida Highwaymen Landscape paintings and create one of your own! Select from a menu of Florida nature motifs and interpret the Highwaymen style your way.

12. Kid’s Ninja at LIVE Training Center

Are you ready to get your kids off the couch? Check out this structured, 1-hour class focusing on keeping kids healthy using REAL American Ninja Warrior Obstacles. LIVE Training Center’s expert coaches teach mechanics and efficient techniques that help kids improve physically while building confidence and having fun!

If you have a son or daughter that is new to LIVE Training Center OR new to obstacle training – this is a GREAT class for them! The cost is $15 and this is appropriate for kids ages 6 and older. You can REGISTER HERE.


13. Wine Wednesday at Riverhouse

Wednesday, October 7th (And Every Wednesday) from 3 pm to 9 pm
Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant:  995 Riverside Dr, Palmetto, FL 34221

Need a mid-week break? Head over to the Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant to enjoy a gorgeous view and a bottle of wine.

After 3 pm they’re pouring house bottles of wine for just $9! Their house selection features chardonnay, pinot grigio, white zinfandel, cabernet, and merlot. We think you deserve to treat yourself!

14. Oktoberfest at Edelweiss

October 7th through 11th from 4 pm to 8 pm W-F and 12-8 Sat & Sun

The official Oktoberfest in Munich might be canceled, but you can still enjoy a bit of German heritage right here in Bradenton! Head over to Restaurant Edelweiss where you can eat, drink, schunkel, and chicken dance (6ft apart, of course). The event will be outside in the beer tent with plenty of social distancing.

Although there won’t be a designated dance floor, they’ll have live entertainment on stage, contests, giveaways, traditional Oktoberfest food, and, of course, Oktoberfest BEER!


15. German Music Party at Lucky Frog

Make sure you come by Lucky Frog Restaurant for their German Music party featuring Live German Music with Petra & Teresa. You’re sure to have fun while enjoying delicious authentic German Food and Beer.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating will be limited to groups of 6 or fewer and reservations are highly recommended. They’ll be at 50% capacity but are doing two seatings, one at 4:30 pm and one at 6:30 pm. Call 941-795-2132 to reserve your spot!

Don’t miss Celtic Conundrum‘s performance at 3 Keys Brewing and Eatery! More than Celtic, their music is full of infectious energy and exceptional vocals influenced by rock, folk, and the world!

Mix in the awesome food and beer at 3 Keys and you’ve got the perfect combination! The dining room, patio, and beer garden are all open. They’re currently seating at 50% capacity indoors and full capacity in their outdoor seating areas with proper social distancing guidelines being followed.

19. Sunday Morning Yoga at “The Nest”

20. Goblin Gathering

Manatee County Parks is celebrating its 18th Annual Goblin Gathering at G.T. Bray Park.

This year’s Goblin Gathering will be a drive-through only event. Please enter at 51st Street and exit at 59th Street. Drive-through participation and trick-or-treating are both free. Several local businesses will be participating by passing out “treats & sweets” to participants, providing a safe alternative for children to trick-or-treat.


21. Carport Succulent Sale

Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th from 8 am to 1 pm

22. Ship of Fools and Friends Acoustic Trio at Mattison’s Riverwalk

This is another great opportunity to enjoy live music in a safe outdoor setting. Nate Howell and Turner Moore will be joined by Brian O’Connell for two sets of acoustic music including Grateful Dead, Beatles, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, and others.

23. Good’toberfest at Good Liquid Brewing Company

Don’t miss out on Good Liquid Brewing Company’s version of Oktoberfest! Not only will they have amazing food from The Schnitzel Trailer and live entertainment by Petra and Teresa, but there are also awesome beer specials!

They’re releasing their German Chocolate Cake Stout and will have German beers on tap. They’ll also have 1-liter “Das Boots” available for purchase for just $15 for the first fill and then $10 refills on select German brews.

NOTE – Good Liquid is still operating at 50% capacity indoors – Masks are required! Once they meet capacity, guests will have the option to sit out in their beer garden.


24. Beer Stein/ Wine Glass Painting

3 Car Garage Brewing Company: 8405 Heritage Green Way, Bradenton,

Embrace your inner artist and head over to 3 Car Garage Brewing Company to paint your own beer stein, stemmed beer glass, wine glass, or coffee cup. Choose one of their stencils featuring pop culture faves, sunsets, scenery, classic rock band logos and much more! 

Stencils are placed inside your glass to make the painting process painless. One on one assistance with instructors is available to help you with the painting process if needed. The cost for this event is $18.

The brewery is now serving beer and bites including sandwiches and hot dogs. All participants enjoy buy one, get one half-off during the event.


25. Dream Catcher Workshop at Gypsea Soul

Saturday, October 24th at 12 pm

This 2-3 hour workshop is appropriate for all age levels. You’ll learn all about what a dream catcher is and their history — and then make your own!

Dreamcatcher materials like yarn, beads, crystals, lace, feathers, and various other supplies and materials will be provided. When you’re done, you’ll have a super high-quality product that you can be proud to display in your home.
