Spring is in the air and things are back in full swing! We were surprised by how many great Bradenton events are scheduled for the month of April. From giraffes and goats to shopping, dining, parades, and more, there’s no shortage of exciting things to do in Bradenton this month. Check out our round-up of the top 25!

1. Rye Road Giraffes Easter Surprise

April 2nd at 4:30 pm, April 3rd at 1pm, April 4th at 11 am

Rye Road Giraffes is open to celebrate Easter! Make your reservation now to guarantee your spot! There will be animal feedings, bounce houses, yummy treats, photo opportunities, and Cirque-style performers! It will be your LAST chance to visit before summer so don’t miss out.

2. Music Trivia at RJ Gators

Every Thursday from 7 pm to 9 pm
RJ Gators: 6100 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton, FL 34210

Test your music knowledge and compete to win fun prizes every Thursday night at RJ Gator’s! It’s FREE to play and you’ll have a chance to win FREE PITCHERS OF BEER and GIFT CARDS! Games are presented by Steve O Entertainment and are always a great time!

3. Bradenton Fair

Daily March 25th through April 11th. Weekdays 5 pm to 10 pm, Weekends 1 pm to 11 pm

Come out for the 2021 Bradenton Fair, held March 25th through April 11th. Here you’ll find affordable family fun including rides, fair food, and games.

4. Farmer’s Market Laughs

Thursday, April 1st at 7 pm
Oneco Farmer’s Market: 5108 15th St. E. Bradenton, FL 34203

The Oneco Farmer’s Market is hosting a FREE night of comedy! Enjoy the show from the comfort of your car or bring your own lawn chairs. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The event opens at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm.

Note – this event is intended for mature audiences.


5. Nights Out! Creative Fun For Everyone

April 2nd from 7 pm to 9 pm and April 23rd from 6 pm to 9 pm
ArtCenter Manatee: 209 9th St West Bradenton, FL 34205

Twice this month, ArtCenter Manatee is hosting a “Night Out” art class. On April 2nd, you can learn how to create a quilling greeting card, or on April 23rd, enjoy a 3-hour introduction to mosaics.

These classes are for participants aged 21 and up. The cost of the class includes all the supplies you need, plus complimentary beer, wine, and snacks. No experience is necessary! You’ll need to reserve your spot ahead of time. CLICK HERE to sign up!


6. Music in the Park(ing) Lot

Every Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm

We’re so excited to start enjoying live music again! Realize Bradenton and the Manatee Performing Art Center have joined forces to bring back “Music in the Park(ing lot).” They’ve got a great lineup for the month of April:

April 2 – Ariella (Ari and the Alibis) – Jazz Blues
April 9 – Jah Movement – Reggae Funk
April 16 – Eric Von Band – Island Country
April 23 – Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones – Blues
April 30 – The Divebombers – Good ol’ American

7. April Art Walk

The monthly Art Walks in the Village of the Arts is one of the most popular Bradenton events. This month, they’re celebrating all things Spring!

Head on down to the VOTA and #ShopLocal, #EatLocal, and #PlayLocal! There will be plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy the galleries, shops, live music, and tasty treats while supporting our local artists and vendors!


8. Wine Down Yoga

Friday, April 2nd from 6:30 to 7:30 pm

What’s better than a relaxing yoga class after a long work week? A relaxing yoga class with WINE! Head over to A Little Twisted Yoga, where you’ll sip, twist, balance, and flow through an all-levels class with your favorite wine in hand. You bring the wine, they’ll host the class.

9. Orange Blossom Arts & Crafts Fair

Head over to Mixon Fruit Farms for their FREE Orange Blossom Arts and Crafts Fair. The event will feature lots of local vendors and fun events including a rock wall, bungee swing, and live entertainment.

10. Fancy Leaf Plant Co. Pop-Up

The Bungalow of Bradenton is excited to be hosting their first pop-up event with Fancy Leaf Plant Co. Come on out and shop for adorable home decor and lots of great houseplants! There will be a unique selection of plants and planters for sale.

11. Polish the Park

Saturday, April 3rd from 8 am to 12 pm
Riverwalk Pavilion (Parking is available at 452 3rd Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205) 

Show your pride in our city and help keep it beautiful! You’re invited to join Realize Bradenton, the Bradenton Police Department, Community Redevelopment Agency, and the City of Bradenton to clean up the Riverwalk. There will be two, 2-hour shifts, and volunteers can sign up for one or both. Lunch will be provided at noon.

12. Bradenton Farmer’s Market

Every Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm

The Bradenton Farmer’s Market ends its season in May, so don’t miss your chance to visit and #SupportLocal! The market features lots of fresh produce, local vendors, artists, prepare foods, live music, and more!

Parking is free on the weekends and dogs on leashes are welcome, so come on out and join in on the fun!


13. Easter at Mattison’s

Celebrate Easter at Mattison’s Riverwalk, where you’ll enjoy chef-inspired menus in a fun, family atmosphere. They’ll be serving brunch and a special Easter Dinner Menu with items like Niman Ranch Prime Rib and Braised Lamb Shank.

14. Easter Brunch Southern Style with the Brown Bag Brass Band

15. Goat Yoga

Goats + Yoga — What more do you need?! You’ll have FOUR chances to enjoy Goat Yoga this month! Saturday April 10th and 24th, join them from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and Thursday, April 15th and 29th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

17. Starlight Movie Night-The Bad News Bears (1976)

Bradenton Kiwanis and the Manatee Performing Arts Center are hosting a FREE outdoor movie showing of the 1976 version of The Bad News Bears! The Bradenton Marauders will also have photo opportunities with Marty the Marauder along with their prize wheel and giveaways.

This is a FREE event and spots are first come, first served. There will be viewing sections for up to 6 people. Bring chairs and blankets, or stay in your car and listen through FM radio.


18. FUN-draiser Friday! Game Night Flow

Yoga is a TON of fun on its own, but imagine adding some of our childhood favorite games into the mix! This class is sure to be a blast from the past with games such as Simon Says, Twister, and other favorites to create some much-needed fun on the mat.

19. Ninja Warrior Competition

EVO Athletics is NOW ENROLLING competitors for their upcoming Ninja Warrior Competition. It’s open to all skill levels and they will have groups ranging from 4 years old to adults.

20. Wine Dinner at Mean Dean’s Local Kitchen

If you haven’t been to Mean Dean’s Local Kitchen yet, you’re missing out! This epic restaurant, located in Bayshore Gardens, hosts regular events including beer dinners and wine dinners.

21. Ship Shape Showcase

Don’t miss one of the Manatee Chamber’s most popular events, The Ship Shape Showcase! This year, it will be a 100% outdoor event, held at Port Manatee. This event draws hundreds of attendees and features many Chamber member businesses promoting their products and services with booth displays.

You’ll enjoy an up-close view of Port Manatee through a narrated bus tour, complimentary appetizers provided by member restaurants and caterers, entertainment, cash bar, door prizes, and more.

22. I Do! I Do! – Live Performance

Are you ready to enjoy LIVE performances again? Well, you’re about to get your chance! Join the Manatee Performing Arts Center for their performance of I Do! I Do! This heart-touching production follows a couple from their wedding day through 50 years of marriage. The original Broadway production received seven Tony Award nominations! 23. Earth Day Neighborhood Revitalization and Celebration

Can’t wait for Oktoberfest this year? You don’t have to! Head over to The Good Liquid Brewing Company for their 1/2 Way to Good’Toberfest event! They’ll have delicious food from The Schnitzel Trailer, live entertainment with Petra & Teresa, and German brews.

Don’t miss their German Chocolate Cake Stout beer release! You can also fill up 1-liter Das Boots on select beers. This is going to be a great time, so make sure you mark your calendars!


25. DeSoto Grand Parade

Saturday, April 24th starting at 6:30 pm
Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton

The Hernando DeSoto Grand Parade is Back! With over 150 entries, this is one of the largest and oldest parades in Southwest Florida.

The Parade steps off at 6:30 pm from Manatee High School. Then it heads up 9th Ave. West and down Manatee Ave. W. towards downtown. This event typically draws tens of thousands of people, so you’ll want to get there early to reserve your spot.
