We are THRILLED to be hosting our very first in-person recruit in two years on
March 12th at 9 am at Ellenton Sports & Ice Complex. Did you purchase pandemic skates and are looking for a place to learn how to use them? Are you in need of social time but unsure if you want to commit to skating? Do you love rules and regulations and need to channel your Type A personality into something productive? We have so many places for you in our league!We are looking for committed skaters, refs, and volunteers! All genders and abilities are welcome! 18+ is our only requirement. We will be requiring a mask to attend this recruitment event.
If you plan on skating, you will be required to wear a mask AND be vaccinated OR provide a negative Covid-19 test bi-monthly to ensure the safety of those around us. Roller derby is a full-contact sport and we get up close and personal with all of our friends. Please bring proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid-19 test to the recruit.
We have a LIMITED amount of gear available to borrow. All gear will be first come, first serve. If you have any gear, even partial gear, bring it with you to the recruit. We will do our best to fit people with what we have at the event.
If you are DEFINITELY planning on joining, be ready to skate! We are hoping to have time, in the end, to skate around and get a feel for wheels .
All genders and ability levels are welcome! If you’ve never skated before, we teach you everything you need to know! 18+ is required.
