We were excited to have a chance to catch up with Brian Dougherty owner of Suncoast Flooring Solutions. Here’s what he had to say…

Can you tell us a little bit about your business?

Suncoast Flooring Solutions is an all-encompassing flooring service that can install new floors or restore the ones you have back to “like-new.” We specialize in tile and grout restoration.

When did you start your business, and what inspired you to launch it?

We’ve been in business going on 13 years.

Why do you love what you do? What is it about your business that makes you so passionate?

I love giving people options, and over the years have discovered that my less expensive option of restoration is a better choice than the pricey new install. It’s given the business credibility by not having a contractor push for the priciest sale. I enjoy being out on the road and meeting my customers.

Why did you choose Bradenton for your business location?

It has a small-town mentality with big-city amenities.

What’s your favorite thing about living in and/or having a business in Bradenton?

The community is diverse yet has a definite pride among its members. It’s a great place to live and business-wise is big enough to sustain a local business.

What’s one interesting fact you want people to know about your business and/or industry?

In just about 13 years, we have worked with over 3,000 happy customers.

What’s your favorite way to #SupportLocal?

I buy local whenever you can. It directly affects local families and their ability to get through the world’s tough economic times.

When you’re not working, what’s your favorite thing to do?

If college football is on — I’m typically watching! I also love to play drums and support local music and music scenes.
